It spreads through my chest

To the right of my heart

It tickles my stomach

But here’s the worst part.

It wriggles around

wherever it wants

Controlling my mind

Shaping my thoughts

I will never win

It's under my skin

Speedy and thin

A demon within

It had pale yellow eyes

And shiny black fur

All knowing and wise

So gentle his purr

Its presence was calming

Its limbs held great power

A new day was dawning

In my darkest hour

It towered above me

Swaying in the breeze

Regal and Lonely

Sad but at ease.
