WriteRight Tutoring was founded by Kemi Layeni in 2016. Ms. Layeni is a product of Hampton City Schools and graduated from Hampton High School with an Advanced Studies Diploma and after years of rigorous classes and weeks of testing, she graduated with her International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. After high school she attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA where she graduated with Distinction and received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Studio Art, and African & African American Studies. (Fun Fact: the University of Virginia's English Department is consistently ranked in the Top Ten University Programs in the nation.) After graduating, Ms. Layeni was a TED Resident and lived in New York City where she wrote and gave an original TED Talk about her upbringing and art.

Currently Ms. Layeni is an English Language Arts Teacher in the Hampton Roads area, where she helps students prepare for their Dual Enrollment English classes. She has taught Honors English, SAT/ACT Prep, and Advanced Placement English.
Ms. Layeni is dedicated to her students success in school and outside of school and when she's not in the classroom, you can find her in her vegetable garden.
