About Wren

Wren Akery lives in Maine, where the winters are long, the Allen's Coffee Brandy is strong, and the pen name is staying a secret forever — because when you work in education by day, you learn very quickly that eleven-year-olds can and will Google you.

By night (and most weekends), she writes. During the hours between work and writing, she maintains a small, chaotic menagerie consisting of cats, birds, fish, one small human, and one considerably larger human who is also critical to the care of the menagerie.

At the time of writing, everyone in the house is still alive, and no unauthorized demonstrations of the food chain have occurred. Wren considers this her proudest accomplishment to date.
