PhD in Water Resources Engineering from University Alberta, Edmonton, Canada
Thesis title: "An Analysis of Framework to Study Steady State Friction Dominated Sain-Venant Equations"
Worked with numerical issues present in open channel flow models, e.g., spurious high velocity vectors.
Established a new non-dimensional parameter for modelers that can be used as a mesh refinement indicator in any open channel flow model.
Implemented the new mesh refinement indicator in the River2D model, a two-dimensional finite element model, and tested with modeling hypothetical channels and natural rivers
