Hi and welcome!
On behalf of Alpha Phi, I am so excited to welcome you to Worcester Polytechnic Institute! WPI is a place filled with driven, creative, and passionate students who are constantly challenging themselves both inside and outside the classroom. When I first arrived at WPI, I didn’t walk onto campus knowing exactly where I belonged, and I don’t think most people do. For me, Alpha Phi became that place of belonging where I felt seen, supported, and encouraged to grow into myself.
What makes Alpha Phi special isn’t just our events or traditions; it’s the women. Alpha Phi has given me friendships that extend far beyond meetings or planned events. It’s the familiar faces across campus, the spontaneous coffee runs between classes, and the late-night study sessions that turn into lasting memories. Alpha Phi is a community where connection comes naturally and support is constant.
One of my favorite parts of Alpha Phi is how much it encourages growth socially, personally, and professionally. Our chapter offers a wide range of leadership opportunities that allow members to step into roles that align with their interests and strengths. Through both chapter leadership and involvement within the Panhellenic community, I’ve received countless opportunities to grow in confidence, responsibility, and leadership.
I had the joy of meeting my Alpha Phi sisters during Formal Recruitment my freshman year, and it quickly became one of the most meaningful experiences of my college journey. Formal Recruitment is hosted by WPI’s Panhellenic Council each fall, typically during the first or second week of B Term. Formal Recruitment is an opportunity to explore these communities and discover what feels right for you. I encourage anyone considering it to come in with an open mind and an open heart. You never know which conversation, which moment, or which sisterhood might end up changing your college experience in the best way.
Whether you already see yourself in Greek Life or are simply curious to learn more, I wholeheartedly encourage you to sign up for Formal Recruitment. For more information, be sure to follow @wpipanhellenic and @wpialphaphi on Instagram — we can’t wait to meet you!
aoe,
