Popular Lacrosse brands include:

  • Brine
  • deBeer
  • STX
  • Nike, Under Armour
  • Cascade (for goggles)

Lacrosse Stick:

Choose a stick that works for you! Test out different sticks to see which style works best for you. Much of choosing a lacrosse stick is based on personal preference. You can either buy a complete stick, including a head and shaft, or buy each piece separate.

Goggles:

Again, this is up to your preference. Find a pair that is comfortable since you will be wearing them for several hours at a time. Goggles will be available to purchase on the bsn team site.

Mouthguard

A mouthguard that covers your top teeth are required. Mouthguards come in many different styles, shapes and colors. You will need to mold the mouthguard prior to using it. A mouthguard is worn at all times during lacrosse. You may want to purchase an extra pair or two for the duration of the season.

Shock Doctor is a popular brand for mouthguards.

Cleats

We will have our practices and games on grass, so cleats are essential. Lacrosse specific cleats are not necessary. “Soccer” cleats or any cleats that are suitable to play on grass are acceptable.

Gloves:

Lacrosse gloves are optional but highly recommended. Gloves can be very useful when we are outside in cold weather and for protecting your hands. I suggest always wearing gloves, whether warm or cold, to better protect your hands.
