Vienna (Austria), September 4th, 2026
The workshop seeks to connect researchers from the field of Optical Music Recognition with potential users. We are open for everything that is related to music, that has been written. The relevant topics of interest for the workshop include, but are not limited to:
Music reading systems
Optical music recognition
Datasets and performance evaluation
Image processing on music scores
Sheet music search
Writer identification
Authoring, editing, storing and presentation systems for music scores
Multi-modal systems
Novel input-methods to produce written music
Web-based Music Information Retrieval services
Applications and projects
Use-cases related to written music
We strive to make the workshop as interactive as possible, with participants getting the opportunity not just to present their work, but to discuss current research and foster relationships within the community. Therefore, promising ideas, work-in-progress submissions and recently submitted or published works are equally welcome.
GIven that we are moving towards full-fledged "official" proceedings this year, we are adjusting our submission model accordingly: full-length scientific papers, and shorter non-archival papers that should not be included in the proceedings.
All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer-review process through the Microsoft CMT platform (link TBA).
Scientific paper submissions should be no longer than 10 pages in LNCS proceedings format (references do not count towards the page limit). Supplementary material can be included as an appendix. Accepted scientific papers will be collected in the workshop proceedings, that will be published alongside the proceedings of the ICDAR main conference.
Non-archival papers should be no longer than 8 pages in the LNCS proceedings format. These papers will not be included in the workshop proceeings.
Both full papers and non-archival papers should be formatted with the style files/details of the LNCS proceedings format.
Note that the camera-ready submission will involve not just the PDF but also the LaTeX source files, and that due to the interaction between ICDAR and WoRMS timelines, the time between notifications and camera-ready is shorter than usual. Please plan accordingly!
Deadline for submission: 20 May 2026
Notification of acceptance: 22 June 2026
Camera ready: 30 June 2026
