We are a group of 3 (three) people - Senior category, students at "Quang Nam Academy, Saigon South International School and Vinschool" in Vietnam. Because we are young people who share a system of values and civic virtues and have modernizing visions, we believe that young people are not only the future but also the present. In April 2024, We participated in the World Scholar's Cup International competition at the regional stage in Hanoi -Vietnam. We achieved great success, qualifying second place in the overall ranking, respectively, and we are moving on to the international stage at the Global round in Seoul. 

The World Scholar's Cup is a competition, which includes 4 (four) main tests: Writing an essay, debating topical issues and urgent societal issues, evaluating intellectual skills in a written test and answering multiple questions from the most diverse fields with six disciplines – History, Art and Music, Literature and Media, Special Interest, Science and Technology and Social Studies, and it is based around a certain theme. The theme for 2024 is ‘Reimagining the Present’ and we have learned so much about a variety of things across the world.

With more than 2600 students and over 800 teams from 30 countries in attendance, our achievement of distinction and awards at this competition will contribute to building a positive image of our country in the eyes of International friends. When we return to Vietnam, we will motivate young people to invest in their knowledge and understanding, participate in similar projects, and nurture a generation of young people who are civically innovative and ready to move forward towards innovation in Vietnam and the region.

Debate Showcase

At the World Scholar’s ​​Cup - Global Round Seoul 2024, I was one (1) of eight (8) members selected as one of the Top speakers from the participating delegations and formed new mixed teams (from Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Australia). We faced an entirely new challenge: working with completely new teammates. Our mission was to lead the entire community to debate and discuss a new thought-provoking move. Our Team was the winning team of the Debate Showcase, and we continued to lead the scholars in the competition with a discussion and conversation, sharing their thoughts with a community open to all voices.
