Lesson Content:

Topic " Painting"Teaching painting is a jump to understanding the elements of lights, sense of discovery of the world. In order to create masterpieces the famouse painters had profound knowlege of the anatomy so study biology if you want to paint well.

  • I can use metaphor and analogy to make connections:

I can use the axilary word "did" to explain the Past Iindefinite Tense ( question form) because this words sounds like "old"in Ukrainian ' did' reffering to the past.

Describing person's sad mood I can say :" he experienced a sea of grief


Teaching Styles:

  • I can switch between styles and varying pace:

While studying poem " The snow is falling the wind is blowing, the ground is white, all day and night" I demonstrate the words " falling" blowing' " all" with gestures and moving of the body.Studying the topic "Food " I put a plate with cut pieces of an apple" on the first desk before the lesson starts. Before the students start writing a test I give them a piece of paper and say'when you finish take a piece of paper and draw a smiling face"

  • I have confidence and ability to inspire:

On St. Patrick's Day I switch on Irish music at the lesson and wear something green.

I give praise to the portfolio of creative works" What a great colour you have used to demonstrate your story" " thank you for showing us photos of Georgia in your portfolio , I was just going to visit this country this summer..
