In the new Ringtone section of BlackBerry App World, you can find hundreds of ringtones in all sorts of genres, brought to App World by a company named Spintones. The majority of the ringtones are $2.99, with a few packs priced a bit higher. At this time, the ringtones are only available in Canada and the United States, but word has it that more countries will have access in the near future. The compatible device list seems to be pretty short, though the minimum OS is listed at 5.0, and there doesn't seem to be a way to preview the ringtone before purchasing. There are also specific rules stating that each ringtone can only be installed on one BlackBerry device, so if you switch devices you have to repurchase the ringtones. Also, you can only re-install the ringtones you purchase up to 2 times within 72 hours of the initial installation on the original device.

While the new ringtone gallery isn't going to interest everyone, I'm sure there is a market for it, and it does seem they have a pretty varied selection of ringtones available. No word on whether you will be able to upload your own ringtones at any time in the future, though I'm guessing it's not going to be an option as there would likely be a lot of legal/copyright issues to deal with at that point. Don't forget, if you're looking for free ringtones, CrackBerry has a huge free ringtone gallery that's just a click away. (If you've never downloaded ringtones from our gallery before, make sure you scroll down the page at the link below and read the instructions.)

The multiple Grammy-winning Legacy Recordings, Sony Music Entertainment's catalog division, produces and maintains the world's foremost catalog of historic reissues, an unparalleled compendium of thousands of digitally remastered archival titles representing virtually every musical genre including popular, rock, jazz, blues, R&B, hip-hop, folk, country, gospel, Broadway musicals, movie soundtracks, ethnic, world music, classical, comedy and more.

This familiar tune is instantly recognizable. Even non-Galaxy users have certainly heard this tune at least once or twice on a subway or bus. The melody, known as Over the Horizon, is the default ringtone of the Samsung smartphone.

When the Galaxy smartphone is turned on for the first time, Over the Horizon is the only music stored in the music library. The jingle can be used as a ringtone, as a sound when the phone turns on or off as well as a basic notification alert for messages. But this musical arrangement is not just an audio file stored in the phone. Rather, it is a brand sound of Samsung Galaxy devices.

Over the Horizon is not only being used on mobile devices; additionally, it is being rearranged by a number of people around the world. If people search Over the Horizon on the web, they can find various audio tracks and videos of remixed versions of the song. From K-Pop artists to international artists including Quincy Jones and Icona Pop, among other popular musicians, many have created their own versions of the track.

Love "Shake It Off" so much you wish you could wake up to it every morning? Don't waste money buying a ringtone from the iTunes store. Any song in your iTunes library can be made into a ringtone. Just open iTunes and follow these steps.

7. Right click, select "Get Info" and rename with .m4r. We need our file to be in this format so it can be recognized as a ringtone. My song currently reads "06 Shake It Off 1.m4a,' so I change it to say "06 Shake It Off.m4r." Then I hit enter.

Anyone ever played Captain toad treasure tracker.

it's annoying because it's a puzzle solving and then also an active moving game and who wants those two things jumbled together. Plus it uses the same songs from Mario 3-D world makes it even more snatching from Mario 3-D world anyway that doesn't have to do with anything so you don't have to read this comment.

ummmm.... so what, it is not about this great music collection

Uh hey umm are u going to make a Gamerip of bowsers furry when it comes out?

I just got a new cell phone and was looking for a cool ringtone...so I thought it would be fun to see what you guys all had as your ringone.

Mine right now is the Knight Rider Theme song, because my brother was playing around with my phone and installed it for me...will be changing soon though

I am clearly the only person in the world who does NOT own a cell phone. But if I did, I would have something by Eric Clapton as my ringtone. I can say this with full confidence because all my friends have classical music as their ringtones and it just cracks me up. It's not like I visit them and they've got Beethoven or Mozart playing! True, I love classical music but I think a ringtone should reflect what is cool to you.

I love playng with ringtones i change mine all the time. i had teh shakira one about a month ago i love sean paul's music so i have the answer tone of his song which is when you call me you hear his song temperature instead of the normal ring. right now i have a rkelly sean paul akon remix but that will change soon.

I have different tones for different people. For my family, it's the Pink Panther theme song. For the dance studio, it's One Thing by Amerie. For my ex-h, it's some stupid tone that came with the phone. For work, it's the Smurf song. For friends, it's the "tease" song na na na na na na. I'm waiting for the Star Wars Imperial March to come available for my phone to use for my dh. He loves that song.

My ringtone sounds like a bumble bee. That was the only cool ring U.S Cellular offered on the phone. I would really like to download a ringtone on it. I would either get the song Boondocks by Little Big Town, the Dukes of Hazzard theme song, the horn on the general lee, or the song Life is A Highway from Cars. (sung by rascal flatts)

My sister's ring for her husband is "Save a horse, ride a cowboy" By Big and Rich.

Jami

Wow, this is an old thread

For anyone who is still paying for ringtones, if your phone has a cord to connect to the computer and a memory card, you can put whatever you want on there for free.

Right now I have Chillin by Wale when my husband calls and Let it Rock for everyone else.

I used to have "I wanna talk about me" for DH calling and "Whole lotta Rosie" for my sister (named Rosie) but they were getting offended by it so I changed it.

I was wondering why I didn't know any of these people posting being that they were all forum superstars and what not... then I realized this post is like, 4 years old

I used to have a ton of ring tones, but I recently got a new phone so now I have "Note to Self" as my main ring tone. "Blue and Yellow" is my alarm clock. And of course, I have the "Halloween" (the movie) theme song for the end of September/entire month of October.

My girlfriend has a funny one. She has the "worst ringtone" from Geico...you know the RingadingdingDo one? You can get it free from their website.

My ringtone is a regular ring with Minnie Mouse telling me I better get it because it might be Mickey calling.

Hi, guys.

I noticed the forums haven't been too too quiet, but I did some forum searches mainly on the subject of converting MP3 files into ringtones through Garage Band for iOS and I have the later version. I will soon be trading in my old iPhone SE for an iPhone XR, but wanted to know a few things. Can you still convert ringtone MP3 files through garage band? Also, I tried to do this, but what I did was export a ringtone from an MP3 file and it said, "The song could not be opened." I'm running iOS 12.1.4. Again, this is my SE we're talking about. I saved the MP3 file into my Apple files thingy under Garage Band file transfer, but why is the song not able to open? Ugh.

I was told to go to tracks view, but I am confused by the ringtone conversion I could have done there. Please note, I do not own a Windows or Mac, so can't use said windows or mac pc or computer to transfer the Ringtone completely. I even tried naming the ringtone with no spaces, no luck. Please help.

Beth

I don't know why Apple makes this so difficult. Something that should be trivial to do turns out to be fairly complex in the Apple world. Wouldn't it be nice some day if we could actually browse our Apple file systems and put files wherever we want just like on real computers? Well, maybe that is the price one pays for having a closed and (hopefully) more secure system. ff782bc1db
