Maybe you're an instructional designer working with subject matter experts based in multiple states. Maybe you need to schedule new product training webinars for sales teams around the world. Or perhaps you're thinking about taking remote work to the next level and becoming a digital nomad. Whatever the reason, there's a good chance that sometime soon you will need to schedule a meeting with people in different time zones.

World Time Buddy is a free productivity tool, available for both iOS and Android devices, that lets you compare multiple time zones at a single glance. After downloading the app and setting up your primary location, you can add more locations easily by typing in the name of a city or country. The app likewise enables you to reorder, group, and rename locations according to your personal business needs.

The default setting in the app's scheduling feature provides a 30-minute window for an event or meeting, but you can change that by clicking and dragging over available time slots. Once you've scheduled the event, you can overlay your Google calendar, Outlook, or iCal, and the app will create a custom URL that you can share publicly.

Q: With colleagues and clients scattered around the world, scheduling conference calls can be a pain given that we sit in many different time zones. Is there a quick and easy way to organize our next meeting so nobody will get left out?

Check the time difference between cities in a simple and intuitive way with this freemium web app. World Time Buddy is a time zone converter, showcasing a world clock, and also providing an online meeting scheduler.

Perfect for vacation. Not so perfect when you have interspersed work stuff that you are integral to as most of us have.End up on a tram during a board meeting. Postponing dinner and so on.In the end this is unmanageable. The only time in my career I have ever had an assistant was when I traveled 50+% of my time with a big chunk internationally. A person is in that instance a good solution.

Same case. What we do is try to schedule things that need people in different time zones in US-morning/Asia-evening/Europe-early-afternoon, which is the only time we all overlap in a relatively comfortable way.And always schedule in one time zone. We use UTC, but you could any as long as it is only one. It is easy to keep track of where you are in relation with only one timezone.

1. change your google calendar to your local time zone 2. add in settings a second column for your original time zone 3. install world clock pro on your mac and phone. 4. ask all your event to have 2 reminders 24h and 12 h before. done

Google calendar is actually really good at this. My two favorite time zone features:1. Showing multiple time zones in your calendar view2. The ability to determine a time zone per meeting (e.g. so you can schedule to 2pm ET even if your current time zone is PT)

Click on the class title to see schedule details. Classes this period are offered for the United States, United Kingdom, Denmark and Australia. Use a Time Zone Converter: to determine your local start time.

UTC is set by default intentionally since certain features are dependent on UTC to calculate time stamps. For instance, the time zone set in the users preferences is used to not only calculate the remote time shown for the user in a 1-1 chat, but also in message history for the user in the web user interface. Changing the time zone in the Hipchat Server CLI will offset these values explicitly by how far away from GMT the new time zone is. i.e. If the time zone in Hipchat Server is set to GMT-2 then all time stamps in the message history will be off by two hours.

Presently, we do not recommend changing the the time zone value in the Hipchat Server console as it will affect all the time stamps in message history. If need be, you can use a time zone calculator (like World Time Buddy) to calculate the time of the logs to your local time zone.

The two-year anniversary of the pandemic in the US marks a sobering milestone. And while the omicron wave has ebbed, SARS-CoV-2 continues to present uncertainties. We continue to care for children with infections and underlying diseases that we are all too frequently unable to treat completely. At the same time, we grieve with the people of Ukraine who have been subjected to an unprovoked conflict that has displaced millions within the region and led to untold suffering for children and adults alike.

Alongside a difficult Internet connection at times, if you live abroad you may also experience less-than-stellar phone connections. With travel comes experience dealing with this and you learn how to use different SIM cards to make a connection, but these fees can sometimes be exorbitant and data amounts and availabilities are often not as large as in other countries.

One of our favorite companies, Buffer, has written multiple posts about how their working styles have evolved over time as their teams have grown and are located across pretty much every time zone. A few tools that they mention are Every Time Zone and World Time Buddy to help you get a handle on time zones other places. And there is always good old Google:

Then again, traveling alone can be very liberating and open up whole new worlds and experiences to you. Some of my best days in life have been while traveling alone through Europe, especially Ireland, the UK, and Italy.

My best suggestion for getting plenty of work done and still getting to enjoy the amazing cultures you are visiting? Keep the same work schedule, as much as possible, no matter where you are. Weekends are two days long for a reason and plenty of time to go do awesome things where you are.

A prized attribute among law enforcement specialists, the expert ability to visually identify human faces can inform forensic investigations and help maintain safe border crossings, airports, and public spaces around the world.

Deep learning affords greater ML accuracy than ever before by overcoming the constraints of limited amounts of data. The layering of data makes more data points available for analysis and powers more robust, accurate analyses of patterns and predictions. Around the same time, affordable advances in computing and graphics processing power also became available.

They build confidence, resilience, they help students to make sense of the real world and the faster technology changes, the more important teachers become. Rebecca: Yes, and to give feedback in a sensitive way, you know. Sometimes not all that we do, you know, my, my example there is a prime example of not everything we do is actually good and should be celebrated. [laughter] e24fc04721
