Hi everyone! I've decided to do a storybook of stories about princesses from around the world. I'll be focusing on princesses from Japan and the Philippines. These stories will be told through letters that the princesses send to each other. They've been friends for years, and once in a while, they remember to update each other across the world. You may wonder how they can all communicate with each other in their writings, but they've all learned English, so it's not a problem!
The princesses (Princess Aiko of Japan and Princess Camille of the Philippines) met in a preschool program for royalty in the United States. They, of course, went through the usual drama of who's the better princess, but after a couple of days, that was all put in the past. They made friendship bracelets for each other and became inseparable. The pair finished kindergarten the best of friends. Since then, they would meet at royal parties and gatherings and chat. As they grew older and got busier, instead of Facebook, Snapchat, and GroupMe, the princesses loved the old classic way of communication: letters! And so they decided to keep up with each other in that way. As you will soon find out, these princesses have some pretty big things to tell their friends! Stay tuned!
The overall message of my storybook is unity around the world. We all come from different places, but we should be able to live amicably. Hopefully, these princesses can be an example for us. I am also hoping to include a message empowering girls in our society. Too often, princesses are in need of a male hero, but in my stories this will not be the case. Girls will be the protagonist heroines. Thanks for reading and hope you all enjoy!
