You can use match/case to match specific literals, similar to how switchstatements work, but their point is to match patterns in the structure of data, not just values. PEP 636:Structural Pattern Matching: Tutorial does a good job explaining themechanics, but feels like a toy example.

These payloads are complex: they are dictionaries with only 6 or 8 keys, butthey are deeply nested, eventually containing a few hundred pieces of data.Originally we were picking them apart to see what keys and values they had, butmatch/case made the job much simpler.

The tournament was founded by sports agent Mark McCormack as a showcase for the players he managed. The inaugural event in 1964 was won by Arnold Palmer, who was McCormack's first client. The calibre of the winners has consistently been very high, with the majority of the tournaments being won by players who have been ranked in the top two in the Official World Golf Ranking or its predecessor Mark McCormack's world golf rankings.

The event consisted of 36-hole matches played in a single day. The event had an eight-man field from 1964 to 1976. It expanded to 16 players for 1977 and 1978. In 1979, the field was 12 players, with four seeded players being given a bye in the first round. It was sometimes felt that this was unfair, as an unseeded player needed to string together eight successful rounds in four days to win, twice as many as in a stroke play tournament, whereas a seeded player only needed six successful rounds to win.

In 2003, the tournament was given a major overhaul. Greatly increased sponsorship was secured from the largest British based bank, HSBC, and the winner's prize was increased to 1 million, which was then easily the largest in world golf (although the Nedbank Golf Challenge had had a $2 million first prize from 2000 to 2002).

In recent years, Americans have tended to decline their invitations. In 2005, no Americans took part at all, and with stalwart Ernie Els injured and Vijay Singh and Sergio Garca also absent, the field was one of the weakest seen at the event, with just one player from the world top ten. The 2006 event had a considerably stronger field with six of the world's top ten players headed by the world's top two ranked players Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk. But in January 2007 HSBC activated a break clause in its ten-year contract and withdrew from sponsorship after the 2007 event.[2]

The World Match Racing Tour (or WMRT) is an annual series of professional sailing match race events held in multiple countries.[1] Since 2006, the winner of the WMRT series has been named the Match Racing World Champion.[2]

Established in the year 2000, the WMRT brings together a diverse group of world-class sailors, including America's Cup and Olympic champions, to compete in the global championship series. WMRT holds the 'Special Event Status' designation from World Sailing, the governing body of the sport.

For professional sailors, the World Match Racing Tour has been seen as a valuable steppingstone towards the America's Cup, offering an opportunity for teams to refine their match racing expertise at the highest level. Initially focused on monohull match racing since its inception in 2000, the introduction of M32 multihulls in 2015 marked a significant change. Furthermore, with the America's Cup shifting to foiling monohulls for its 36th edition in 2021, the WMRT is expected to continue including events featuring a variety of boat types, encompassing monohulls, multihulls, and even foiling boats, starting in 2019.

In 1997, Russell Coutts and his Team Magic won the Faberg Egg and the US$250,000 prize money. Brut left as a sponsor after that, leaving the match racing series in a state of limbo. Swedish Match took over as sponsor of the match racing series in 1998 and the creation of the Swedish Match Grand Prix Sailing began.[4]

An average over 100 in a match in the PDC World Matchplay has been achieved 142 times, of which Phil Taylor is responsible for 62. In 2010, Phil Taylor became the first player to average over 100 in all five rounds of the tournament. He repeated this feat in 2011 and 2013.

An average of over 105 in a match in the World Matchplay has been achieved 35 times, of which Phil Taylor is responsible for 24. The highest match average ever in the World Matchplay is 114.99 by Phil Taylor in his Last 32 victory over Barrie Bates in 2010. The highest match average ever in the World Matchplay Final is 111.23 by Phil Taylor against Adrian Lewis in 2013.

The 16 players are split into four pools of four, seeded by their Official World Golf Ranking.[2] Within each pool, every player plays each other in a round-robin format over 18-hole matches. Points are awarded based upon win (2), tie (1) or loss (0). The two leading players from each pool advance to the knock-out stage. In the case of a tie in the standings, head-to-head results determine places with sudden-death playoffs used to determine standings if head-to-head match halved.[3]

The 24 players were split into eight pools of three, with the top two in each pool seeded by their Official World Golf Ranking and the remaining eight randomly assigned to a pool.[2][3] Within each pool, every player played each other in a round-robin format over 18-hole matches. Points were awarded based upon win (2), tie (1) or loss (0). The two leading players from each pool advanced to the knock-out stage. In case of ties, sudden-death playoffs were used to determine rankings.

The USA improved to 7W-2D-0L all-time in opening matches at the FIFA Women's World Cup and have started each of the last four tournaments with a win. The USWNT has now won 13 consecutive matches at the FIFA Women's World Cup, extending its own record for most consecutive wins in the competition.

The U.S. will now face the Netherlands on July 27 at Wellington Regional Stadium in Wellington/Te Whanganui-a-Tara (1 p.m. local / 9 p.m. ET on July 26 on FOX, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock) in its second Group E match and will finish group play against Portugal on Aug. 1 back at Eden Park in Auckland/Tmaki Makaurau (7 p.m. local / 3 a.m. ET on FOX, Telemundo and Peacock).

While Vietnam, one of eight debutants in this year's tournament and now the 39th nation to play in the FIFA Women's World Cup, played a tough match defensively, the USA dominated the proceedings and ended up piling up a 28-0 margin in shots. Vietnam tackled hard and played in a compact 5-4-1 formation, packing its defensive third when the USA was in possession.

The match was physical from the jump as a gritty Vietnam side made its presence known with several fouls. The USA had an early scare in just the first minute as forward Trinity Rodman fell hard after a challenge and needed attention from the medical staff before returning to the field moments later.

The USA then capped off the match in the 77th minute with a goal from Horan. Captaining the squad for the first time at a world championship event, Horan finished with a poised and powerful strike from the center of the penalty box following a brilliant effort from Smith to strip the ball from a defender inside the penalty area on the right side. She then cut a pass back to Horan who had time to settle and smash her shot home past several Vietnam defenders.

Summary: Systems should speak the users' language with familiar words, phrases, and concepts rather than system-oriented terms. Interfaces that follow real-world conventions and make information appear in a natural and logical order demonstrate empathy and acknowledgement for users.

The system should speak the users' language, with words, phrases, and concepts familiar to the user, rather than system-oriented terms. Follow real-world conventions, making information appear in a natural and logical order.

That is because people build mental models or theories of how a system works based on their past experiences with real-world objects. Therefore, when users transition from the physical world to the digital world, they carry those interpretations with them. Users expect that UI elements which reflect material objects be similar to those objects from the real world. For example, a compass app on the iPhone functions much like an actual compass does in real life. Though the use of flat design and minimalism are now preferred over skeuomorphic design, including familiar elements and activities in the interface will help users move through the experience with ease.

Sri Lanka have lost a number of players to injury during the tournament, including their captain Dasun Shanaka, but are expected to have all the players from the previous match available for selection.

The connected ball technology has been rigorously and robustly tested with a number of professional and grassroots football clubs around the world (including blind testing), namely at the FIFA Arab Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup 2021 in Abu Dhabi, with no perceived change to performance.

Tuesday's match was widely watched given tense U.S.-Iran relations, the larger tournament implications for both teams, and the conflicts surrounding the ongoing human rights protest movement in Iran that have spilled over in Qatar.

Australia and in particularly the CYCA, has a long and proud history at this World Championship, with Australian teams featuring in the Finals on seven occasions, and having successfully won the title five of the nine times it has been contested, with Denmark, Italy and the United States of America as the only other countries to have claimed this world title.

Kyle Dake and Zaurbek Sidakov entered their 2023 World Championship final with seven titles between them. Their match was a dramatic 17-point thriller, and in the end, Sidakov earned his 4th World/Olympic gold medal and remained undefeated in World and Olympic competition. 006ab0faaa
