FRGE for Tensor Models

at the Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Heidelberg, Germany

March 19 to 23, 2018

It is a great pleasure to announce the workshop on the application of the functional renormalization group equation to tensor models and tensor field theories. The workshop will take place at the Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Heidelberg, Germany from March 19, 2018 to March 23, 2018.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers from both fields, i.e. experts from the field of tensor models and tensor field theory and experts from the functional renormalization group equation who have been working on or are interested in applying the methods of the functional renormalization group equation to tensor models and tensor field theories.

The workshop will start with a two day introduction into the subject (Monday, March 19, and Tuesday, March 20) in the form of lectures, which will be followed by two days of presentations (Wednesday, March 21, and Thursday, March 22) and be closed by a discussion on Friday March 23.

The purpose of the workshop is to identify the opportunities presented by the application of the functional renormalization group equation to tensor models and tensor field theories, the technical challenges that arise in this program and the development of a strategy for the near future.

Funding for the workshop was made available through a mini-grant by the Foundational Questions Institute (grant: FQXi-MGA-1713) and through the Emmy Noether - Programm.

The workshop will take place at the Seminarraum 306 (third floor) of the Philosophenweg 12 building. See the map below.
