Recent Advances in Degenerate Parabolic Systems with Applications to Mathematical Biology

In recent years, cross-diffusion systems have gained a lot of attention due to their widespread range of applications in mathematical biology and other areas of applied mathematics. While degenerate parabolic equations for a single species have been studied extensively in the past, systems require a much more minute study.

The workshop aims at bringing together leading experts in the fields of degenerate parabolic PDEs and cross-diffusion systems arising in mathematical-biology contexts and discussing new strategies. The event is organised by young researchers and targeted to early career researchers.

The workshop was made possible by the BOUM programme (BOUges tes Mathématiques pour les jeunes de la SMAI) and by the support of the ERC advanced Grant Adora (Asymptotic approach to spatial and dynamical organizations).
