Short biography: Prof. Dr. Ramona Woitek, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Radiology and Head of the Research Center for Medical Image Analysis and AI (MIAAI) at DPU. She completed her medical degree at the Medical University of Vienna in 2008, followed by a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuroscience and a radiology residency at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the same university. Between 2017 and 2022, Prof. Woitek contributed to scientific research and clinical practice at the Department of Radiology, University of Cambridge, and Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, UK. She has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications with research focus in hyperpolarized carbon-13 MRI, artificial intelligence in healthcare, radiomics and multi-omics in breast and ovarian cancer.

Short biography: Prof. Sri Krishnan joined Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada in 1999, and he is now a Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science. Sri Krishnan's research interests are in biomedical signal analysis, audio signal analysis, and AI for mental health. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. From 2007-2017 he was a Canada Research Chair in Biomedical Signal Analysis. Sri Krishnan has published more than 420 papers in refereed journals and conferences, filed 16 invention disclosures/patent applications, and been a scientific advisor to six AI/wearables start-ups. He has authored the book on Biomedical Signal Analysis for Connected Healthcare (Academic Press, 2021), and co-authored the textbook on Biomedical Signal Analysis (3rd edition, IEEE/Wiley Press, 2024). Sri Krishnan is a recipient of the Outstanding Canadian Biomedical Engineer Award, Achievement in Innovation Award from Innovate Calgary, Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award, Young Engineer Achievement Award from Engineers Canada, New Pioneers Award in Science and Technology, and Exemplary Service Award from IEEE Toronto Section.

Short biography: Dr. Bipul Das serves as the Senior Director for AI at GE HealthCare, where he leads the team to the technology advancement of intelligent imaging across modalities, by integrating physics-based models and domain-guided AI across the imaging pipeline. With over 20 years of research experience in medical imaging, he has been extensively engaged in the development of innovative products, academic publications, and patents in this domain. As AI technologies have evolved rapidly, Bipul has designed and developed Physics-Guided AI solutions for image reconstruction, image quality enhancement, post-processing, and workflow optimization—particularly in Computed Tomography (CT) and X-ray modalities. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania, where he furthered his work in medical image analysis. Since joining GE Global Research in Bangalore in 2005, Bipul has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and co-invented more than 30 patents, underscoring his significant contributions to the field.

Short biography: Prof. Dr. Anurag Agrawal is an Indian pulmonologist, medical researcher, and the director of the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, a CSIR institution. Known for his studies on lung diseases, Dr Agrawal is a senior DBT-Wellcome Trust India Alliance fellow. He received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, the highest Indian science award, for his contributions to Medical Sciences in 2014, as well as the National Bioscience Award for Career Development in 2015. As the head of a national laboratory and as an elected fellow of both the major national science academies of India, Dr Agrawal is deeply engaged with the science-society interface and biomedical policy development. His current focus areas include use of information technology and big data analytics for effective application of community health efforts and development of pattern-based diagnostics. His group has also developed integrated solutions for healthcare delivery and digital data collection in resource-limited settings, as well as computational tools for visualisation and analysis of complex medical datasets.
