TKM College of Arts and Science

TKM College of Arts and Science, founded in 1965 under the visionary leadership of Janab Thangal Kunju Musaliar, stands as one of Kerala’s premier centres of higher education. Established initially as a junior college, it rapidly expanded in academic strength and reputation under the stewardship of Sri Shahal Hassan Musaliar and the TKM College Trust. Over the decades, the institution introduced a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, evolving into a comprehensive hub for arts, science, and commerce education. Continuous enhancements in infrastructure, curriculum, and student support systems—particularly following the NAAC Peer Team visit in 2004—have strengthened its academic ecosystem. The college has been consistently recognised for excellence, securing NAAC accreditation with A Grade in 2013 and the highest A++ Grade in 2022. Today, with thousands of alumni in distinguished positions, TKM College of Arts and Science remains committed to fostering academic integrity, discipline, and holistic development. 

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute for Basic Sciences (SRIBS)

The Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute for Basic Sciences (SRIBS), established under the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), is dedicated to advancing research, training, and outreach in the fundamental sciences. The institute serves as a state-level hub for promoting high-quality scientific inquiry across mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and emerging interdisciplinary domains. SRIBS regularly organizes workshops, lecture series, research schools, and collaborative programmes aimed at empowering students, teachers, and early-career researchers with contemporary scientific skills. With a strong emphasis on foundational research, the institute actively engages leading experts from premier national and international institutions, fostering a vibrant academic environment. SRIBS also plays a key role in strengthening Kerala’s scientific ecosystem through capacity-building initiatives and policy-aligned scientific interventions. Recently, the Government of Kerala has launched the prestigious K-STAR Supercomputing Project at SRIBS, positioning it as a future centre of excellence in high-performance computing and advanced computational modelling. Carrying forward its mission, the institute continues to nurture scientific talent and promote innovative thinking in the basic sciences.

TKM Engineering College

TKM College of Engineering, established in 1958 by the visionary reformer and philanthropist Janab Thangal Kunju Musaliar, is the oldest private-sector engineering college in Kerala and a flagship institution of the TKM College Trust. For more than six decades, it has been a catalyst for social and technological progress, shaping thousands of outstanding engineers who have made their mark across the world. The college offers a robust academic ecosystem supported by excellent infrastructure, including well-equipped libraries, state-of-the-art computer facilities, student hostels, a Career Guidance and Placement Cell, an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and extensive sports amenities. Modern auditoriums and departmental seminar halls facilitate academic events and scholarly interaction. A vibrant student community actively engages in activities under units such as NSS, IEEE, ISTE, NASA, and various other professional bodies that conduct seminars, workshops, training programmes, and hackathons. Strengthened by collaborations with industry leaders and prestigious national and international institutions—including the University of Leeds, Kookmin University, University of Twente, and IISc—the college continues to uphold its legacy of excellence while adapting to the evolving landscape of engineering education.
