Complex surfaces represent a rapidly developing subject at the very edge of complex algebraic and differential geometry. This workshop will focus on recent advances and techniques in the field, with a particular emphasis on non-Kähler surfaces and methods applicable to the study of higher-dimensional non-algebraic manifolds. Key themes include, but are not limited to, Class VII surfaces, foliation theory, and non-Kähler geometry.

Our aim is to highlight recent progress in the area and to advertise this topic within London and the broader UK mathematical community. By bringing leading international specialists in complex surfaces to the UK, we hope to cultivate a collaborative atmosphere that bridges established experts with the next generation of mathematicians. The workshop will include an introdutional lectures for PhD-students and mathematicians of other fields.
