The Workshop on Algorithms, Learning, and Games (ALGA) brings together researchers from academia and industrial research interested in problems at the intersection of algorithms theory, game theory, and machine learning. The workshop will cover topics such as online learning in games and markets, online selection and matching, artificial intelligence and games, fairness in machine learning and mechanism design, algorithmic contract theory, and new applications of algorithmic game theory to online markets and cryptocurrencies. The technical program will include talks from experts in the field and spotlight presentations for junior researchers. The workshop will last five days, with a different theme each day, leaving ample space for discussion and collaboration between the participants.
Inspired by the success of the WALE workshop, we are organizing the first edition of the workshop on Algorithms, Learning, and Games (ALGA).
The workshop will last for five days, with each having different themes.
The workshop will take place in Sicily, one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. The island is very rich in archeological sites from various ancient civilizations. The workshop will be hosted by Hotel Baia Samuele in Punta Sampieri - Scicli (Ragusa), Sicily. Punta Sampieri is located in the southeast of Sicily in a late Baroque area called Val di Noto. The Val di Noto area is included in the Unesco World Heritage List and includes eight nearby towns: Caltagirone, Militello Val di Catania, Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo, Ragusa, and Scicli.
The closest airport is Catania's airport. More helpful information on the logistics will be provided via email.
Once you have confirmed your participation, you can access the form for arranging accommodation at Hotel Baia Samuele here.
