Workinator, operated by Banaphoenix Sharkus (“we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the Workinator app. By using Workinator, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information: Email address, username/display name, and authentication credentials (handled securely via Firebase Authentication).

Profile Information: Bio, region, date of birth, and optional profile image URL.

App and Activity Data: Focus session duration, streaks, task progress, and virtual items (pets, skins, coins, EXP).

Social Data: Friends list, shared focus activity, and real-time presence (e.g., "In Focus Mode").

Device Data: App settings stored locally, device push tokens for notifications, and technical logs.

We do NOT collect: Precise GPS location, Contacts, Camera/Microphone data, or sensitive financial/health information.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data to:

Provide and sync productivity features across your devices.

Facilitate social interactions and leaderboards.

Send push notifications for reminders and streaks.

Improve app security and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service Providers: Google Firebase and Google Cloud for secure data storage and messaging.

Other Users: Your username, bio, and focus status are visible to others based on your in-app privacy settings.

Legal Requirements: Only if required by law or to protect user safety.

4. Data Retention & Security

Retention: Account data is kept until you request deletion. Technical logs are purged after 90 days.

Security: We utilize industry-standard encryption (AES-256) and secure SSL/TLS protocols for all data in transit. While we use robust safeguards, no system is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals and "Do Not Track" requests sent from your device.

California (CCPA/CPRA): Residents may request a report of personal data collected or request its permanent deletion.

6. Children’s Privacy

Workinator is not directed to children under 13. In accordance with 2026 state regulations, we provide enhanced privacy protections for users under 16 and do not "share" or "sell" their data for advertising.
