Sardinia says "Boungiorno" with slightly above 20°C and a cloudless sky. We found an amazing camp spot at the north coast close to the pictureesque village of Castelsardo. On this location in the front row at the sea shore we will spend the next days.

On the last day of our one week stay in Avignon we were joined by our son Moritz and his girl friend Sina, who want to spend their spring vacation with us.
Together we decided to escape the Provence autumn and take the ferry to Sardinia.
After an 11 hour ferry trip we arrived there with beautiful weather.

Unfortunately it's still raining in the provence. And we don't like to take rain photos. So instead some more impressions of this lovely city.

On a rain free evening we took a long bike ride through the wonderful Provence landscape.

A day later it stopped raining and we had a first nice dinner outside!
Arriving in Provence, we were welcomed with lots of rain. Meeting friends and having good food and drinks together let us forget the bad weather. Perhaps the name of the restaurant is an omen as to where we should go.

We usually spend the first week of a trip to southern Europe in Freiburg with our son Moritz and his girl friend Sina - and this time was no exception.

20.4. Takeoff
Unfortunately, it took a while to get fit again. After three surgeries, Ulli is healthy again and we are starting our spring trip exactly one year after our last spring trip to Ireland in 2023.
Due to the miserable weather over the last few months, we definitely want to go south. We'll just go as far south as we can until it's warm enough ;-)
1.3. Changing plans

Due to Ulli's unplanned stay in hospital and a second surgery at the end of March we were forced to change our travel plans.
So we'll not starting our trip until Mid-April and the destination is open again ...
1.2. Preparing the trip
Skipping Scotland last year we originally want to catch that up this spring.
But after four awful winter months in Bremen we decided we need a warmer area.
So in March we will head south-west towards the iberian peninsula.
