Erin M. Buchanan received her Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in computational linguistics with a focus on statistics after attending Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree. In her spare time, she likes to watch sports, play video games, go to National Parks, and travel the globe.
Erin M. Buchanan’s research focuses on modeling semantic memory and the underlying language network by creating better measures of relationships between concepts. She also examines statistical practices and how we can improve those practices through enhanced methodology and teaching. Last, she collaborates with other investigators to improve their statistics and develop psychometrically sound measures of their concepts.
Priya Silverstein (they/she) is an Assistant Researcher at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Their work falls into two main themes: research credibility (including replicability, reproducibility, and generalisability), and open science uptake (by students, researchers, and journal editors).
They are also currently Associate Director of the Journal Editors Discussion Interface, an online community promoting open science at social science journals.
Martin Schweinberger is Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Director of Research at the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, where he also directs the Language Technology and Data Analysis Laboratory (LADAL) - a free, open-access research infrastructure providing tutorials, tools, and courses for computational language research, now reaching over 500,000 users across more than 100 countries.
