Based from the Book: How to become a Christian by Sean Kehoe
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other. So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
Are you sure you are a Christian? Think very carefully if you really are a Christian.
Christianity is not a religion, but an experience.
Christianity is a relationship with God
Christianity is offensive (Luke 7:23 RSV), don't be offended.
Christianity is difficult and challenging (can cost your life, everything, and it is not convenient)
God was not asking you to make a “room for Him”, He wants to be the center of your life, and would not accept less
Either wholeheartedly accept Him or reject Him, no middle groud. Not neutral. either totatally for Him or against Him.
Edited the real message to make it inoffensive.
Confusing truth and error
Our nature and intellect won’t enable us to see the truth about God or spiritual things (1 Cor 2:14)
“Real Christianity is a personal relationship with Him; not just to know about Him, but to actually to know Him”
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test?
2 Corinthians 13:5
Many who called themselves Christian are illiterate and in deep confusion.
They are misinformed, even those who go to church.
You will not know Christianity just by reading books, hearing sermons, praying, and on leadership roles.
Many of them think they are Christian but they believed on just sets of man-made ideas of Christianity.
If you believe to be a Christian, do not be offended. Test what's I'm saying if they're are Biblical.
Genuine
On the way (Exploring and seeking)
Misinformed but relaxed, unaware that they are misinformed
Completely uninformed
The Good News is primarily about the coming Kingdom of God and about us having a change to be in it.
Jesus has appointed to be the King.
His Kingdom is coming
We are being offered a chance to be part of that Kingdom.
It is bad news for those who are not part of it.
If everyone will be a part of His Kingdom, then it would not even be a "news"
There would be nothing worth annoucing
None of us would need to be or do anything to be deserve that Kingdom.
Churches hardly mention this, they do not explained or understood this.
Jesus whole ministry is focused on the Kingdom. (Luke 4:43, 7:28, 9:1-2. 9:11, 9:60. 12:29-32, 14:15, 16:16)
Even the Lord's Prayer is direct reference to be the Kingdom. (Mat 6:9-13)
Even the writer of Hebreyw. (Heb 12:28)
the Apostle Paul. (Acts 28:30-31, 1 Thes 2:12);
and Peter (2 Pet 1:11)
This Kingdom began in the Past
When Jesus has won back from the Devil through His death and resurrection, this Kingdom has started.
In Operation Now
Whenever 2 or 3 genuine Christians gathered in Jesus name, or the church, this Kingdom is in operation.
It Is In The Coming Future and It will Last for 1000 years
It is yet to come, Jesus will physically return on earth and will rule over the whole earth for 1000 years (Millenium) (both Christian and non-Christian) Satan and demon will be restricted for 1000 years, and perfect government.
Will Change Again after 1000 years and become eternal and perfect
It will continue for eternity in a completely perfect condition (new Jerusalem) perfection on earth, every believer, no sin, death, pain, and demonic activity. Perfected and ultimate form of Kingdom and all of us can be part of it.
Check Revelation 20:1-6 for the explanation of the 1000 years.
The Kingdom of God began in the past, in operation now, but not yet fully come, Jesus will reign for 1000 years, but still not be completed, it needs another stage to reach, to become totally perfect, complete and eternal.
Jesus will be King whether you are there or not
We are allowed to enter and remain for all eternity
Provide we repent and put our faith and trust in Him
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scripture every day to see if what Paul said was true
