For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
ISAIAH 55:8-9
We live in a world that values:
Strategy
Strength
Logic
Control
But God often works in ways that:
Don't make sense
Seem weak
Require obedience over understanding
The Kingdom of God is not build on human logic - but on divine instruction.
The Fall of Jericho (Joshua 6)
God commanded:
March around the city for 6 days
on the 7th day, march 7 times
blow trumpets and shout
Human logic says:
attack the walls
use weapons
build siege equipment
God says:
Just walk... and shout.
The walls didn't fall because of power...
They fell because of obedience.
Sometimes your breakthrough won't come through effort - but through obedience to strange instructions.
Gideon's 300 (Judges 7)
God reduced the army: From 32,000 to 300 men
Weapons given:
Trumpets
Clay jars
Torches
Strategy:
Break jars
Blow trumpets
Shout
Result: The enemy turned on each other
God will sometimes strip you of your strength so that His power is revealed.
If it makes perfect sense... it might not require faith.
2 Corinthians 5:7
"For we walk by faith, not by sight"
ILLUSTRATION:
Imagine a coach telling a team: Don't shoot the ball. Just stand and clap.
It sounds ridiculous... unless that coach sees something you don't.
God sees what you cannot see.
Understanding comes later... Obedience comes first.
UNITY BRINGS POWER
Psalm 133:1
"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"
Acts 2:1
"They were all with one accord in one place"
What happend next?
The Holy Spirit came
Power was released
The Church exploded.
Jericho - People marched together
Gideon - 300 acted as one
Pentecost - Believers prayed in unity
God releases victory when His people move in alignment.
This is the pattern:
God gives unusual instruction
People obey without full understanding
They move in unity
God releases supernatural results
ILLUSTRATION:
A choir can have the best singers, the best instruments, but if they are out of sync, singing different songs, it becomes noise.
But when they are in rhythm, in one voice, it becomes powerful harmony.
Ask yourself:
Are you willing to obey God even when it doesn't make sense?
Are you trying to fight battles your way instead of God's way
Are you walking in unity with others... or causing division?
SAY:
Lord, I surrender my ways!
I trust Your strategy over mine!
I will obey even when I don't understand!
I choose unity!
THE SAME GOD WHO:
Brought down Jericho without weapons
Won battles with lamps and trumpets
Poured out His Spirit on a united people
is the same GOD fighting for you!
Because when God is in it... even the impossible becomes inevitable!!!
