Let me ask you something...
If you stood before God today...
What would qualify you to enter His presence?
What would you say makes you worthy?
Your good works?
Your church attendance?
Your effort?
Would you say:
I tried my best
I'm a good person
I go to church?
What if I told you...
The standard is not "better than others"
None of that is enough
To stand before a holy God...
You don't need improvement
You need PERFECTION.
The standard level is GOD HIMSELF
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
ROMANS 3:21-23
To stand before God...
You don't need a LITTLE righteousness...
You need GOD-LEVEL righteousness.
God doesn't grade on a curve.
He doesn't say: You're better than most, come in.
The STANDARD is HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

Imagine trying to enter a place that requires 100% perfection...
Not 90%
Not 99%
But 100%
Imagine trying to jump across a canyon...
Some jump 5 feet
Some jump 20 feet
But nobody makes it
That's humanity before God.
APPLICATION
Ask yourself:
Are you lowering God's standard to feel okay?
Stop lowering God's standard to fit your life.
God is not comparing you to people...
He is comparing you to HIMSELF.
Partial righteousness is still failure before a perfect God.
There are two kinds of righteousness:
Man's righteousness (your effort)
God's righteousness (His gift)
Man's righteouness is:
Effort
Discipline
Morality
God's righteouness is:
Perfect
Complete
Unchanging
ILLUSTRATION
Your righteousness is like trying to clean a stain with dirty water...
It doesn't fix the problem.
APPLICATION
Stop trusting in:
Your goodness
Your discipline
Your effort
You don't need improvement
You need REPLACEMENT
Stop trying to fix yourself...
And receive what only God can give.
You don't upgrade your righteousness - you receive a new one.
When you feel close to God... is it because of what you did?
When you feel far... is it because you failed?
That reveals your belief system.
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,

Faith is not trying harder...
Faith is trusting fully.
The righteousness of God comes:
Through faith
Not through works

Faith is not working to get something...
It's trusting what has already been done.
Faith is like sitting in a chair...
You're not analyzing it...
You're trusting it to hold you.
APPLICATION
Shift from: I must earn this
To: I receive this by faith.
Some of you believe in Jesus...
But still trust in yourself.
Every day declare:
I am made righteous through Jesus - not my performance.
Faith doesn't achieve - it receives.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
ROMANS 3:23
All have sinned...
No exception.
No one qualifies on their own.
ILLUSTRATION
Sin is not about how bad you are...
Different people sin differently...
but everyone still misses the mark.
It's about missing God's perfection.
APPLICATION
Stop comparing your sin to others...
And stop ranking sin...
And recognize your need for grace.
The ground at the cross is level.
Imputed = credited to your account
ILLUSTRATION
It's like someone deposits millions into your account...
And now you live from what you didn't earn.
APPLICATION
Start living from your new identity: I am righteous in Christ
Stop saying: I'm just a sinner trying...
Start saying: I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
You don't fight for righteousness - you fight from it.
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
ROMANS 5:17
Righteousness is a gift
A gift cannot be earned.
If you try to pay for a gift...
You insult the giver.
APPLICATION
Stop trying to pay God back with performance.
When you feel unworthy:
Say: I didn't earn this - so I can't lose it by effort either.
What grace gave - performance cannot maintain.
Let me ask you honestly...
Some of you are saved by grace...
but living by performance.
Do you feel closer to God when you perform well...
and farther when you fail?
Do you hide from God?
That means you're still living under WORKS not GRACE
That is not Gospel... That's bondage.
DAILY IDENTIFY DECLARATION
I am the righteousness of God in Christ
WHEN YOU FAIL
Instead of shame or distance... Run to God immediately.
WHEN YOU DO GOOD
Don't say: I earned this
Say: This is God's grace working in me.
STOP SELF-REJECTION
God already accepted you - stop rejecting yourself.
You need a RIGHTEOUSNESS equal to God's...
and God didn't demand it from you...
He GAVE it to you.
ILLUSTRATION
Imagine standing in filthy clothes...
Unworthy to enter...
And someone hands you a perfect robe...
And says: Wear this - and come in.
Stop trying to clean yourself up...
and receive the righteousness of God.
You don't become righteous by behaving right... you behave right because you've been made righteous.
