Let me ask you something...
If I told you today that you will live forever...
would that excite you... or confuse you?
Because the truth is - you will live forever.
The real question is not if you live forever...
but HOW you live... and WITH WHOM.
Most people think eternal life is about heaven someday...
but what if I told you...
You can have eternal life right now?
Let's go to one of the most quoter verses in the Bible...
Gospel of John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
JOHN 3:16
Many of us were taught: Jesus came - died for sins - so we don't go to hell.
That's true... but it's incomplete.
The verse doesn't end with "not perish"
It ends with "have eternal life"
Emphasize:
Not just rescue FROM something
but invitation INTO something
ILLUSTRATION
Imagine a man drowning in the ocean...
A rescuer jumps in, pulls him out, and saves his life.
Now imagine the rescuer just walks away.
No relationship.
No conversation.
Just... saved.
That's how many people see salvation.
But Jesus didn't just pull you out to leave you on the shore...
He brought you into a relationship with Him.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
JOHN 17:3
This is eternal life - that they may know you...
Jesus dind't say: Eternal life is going to heaven.
He said: Eternal life is KNOWING GOD.
Greek:
Know = ginosko
Not head knowledge
Experiential, relational, intimate knowing
ILLUSTRATION
I can know about a celebrity...
I can know their stats, their history, their achievement...
but that doesn't mean I KNOW them.
But if I walk with someone daily...
talk with them...
share life with them...
that's different.
That is what Jesus is talking about.
This may shock some people...
Eternal life is not about living forever...
Because everyone lives forever.
Spirit continues
Soul continues
The difference is:
With God
Or without Him

Eternal life is not about the length of life...
It's about the QUALITY and SOURCE of life.
It's like electricity in a house.
The house exists...
but without power, it's dark, lifeless.
When power flows - everything comes alive.
God is that life.
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 JOHN 5:11-12
Notice the language:
Whoever HAS the Son HAS life
Not will have... HAS

Some people treat eternal life like a retirement plan...
I'll access it later...
but eternal life is not a future reward...
it's a PRESENT REALITY
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
JOHN 10:10
Jesus didn't just come to give life...
He came to give ABUNDANT LIFE.
Contrast:
Enemy: Still, kill, destroy
Jesus: Life, overflow, fullness
ILLUSTRATION
Imagine drinking water from a dripping faucet...
Now imagine standing under a waterfall.
That's the difference between survival... and abundant life.
Some people prayed prayers...
Asked for forgiveness...
but never pursued RELATIONSHIP
They wanted heaven...
but not intimacy.
That's not the full Gospel.
God is not just offering you:
Forgiveness
Escape
Future Security
He's offering you
Himself
His Presence
His Life
Stop seeing salvation as an event...
Start seeing it as a RELATIONSHIP.
Do you only think about God on Sunday?
Or do you walk with Him daily?

Talk to God like a real person

But God is not your emergency contact...
He's your daily companion

Start learning to BE WITH GOD

5 min - Sit and listen

You don't build intimacy through speed...
You build it through TIME and PRESENCE
If your life is forever...
Then your decisions matter forever.
What am I living for right now?
Am I investing in what lasts?
Is my life connected to God... or just busy?

Some people are building a life...
but not building a RELATIONSHIP with GOD
That's like decorating a house
with no electricity.
Some of you are waiting for:
More time
Less problems
A better season
But eternal life is NOW.
Start your day with God before anything else.
Before phone
Before work
Before distractions

If God is truly life...
Why do we give Him leftovers?
Abundant life is not something you chase...
It's something you receive and walk in.
Reject lies (fear, condemnation, hopelessness)
Replace with truth (Word of God)
Stay connected to Jesus daily.

Some Christians are like people sitting at a full table...
but starving...
Because they won't eat.
Let me ask you honestly...
Do you know God...
or do you just know about Him?
Because there is a difference between:
Church attendance
And relationship
Between information and intimacy
YOU HAVE 3 POSSIBLE RESPONSES:
You don't know Jesus - Received Him
You know Him but feel distant - Return to intimacy
You're walking with Him - Go deeper
Jesus did not just die to keep you out of hell...
He died to bring you into UNION with God
He didn't just remove sin
He removed the barrier.
So now...
Nothing stands between you and God...
except your response.
You can know Him.
Not religion...
Not routine...
But REAL relationship.

Imagine someone standing at your door...
knocking...
Not to drop off a package...
But to move in...
to live with you...
to walk with you daily...
REVELATION 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Eternal life is not later.
Eternal life is NOW.
It's not just forever...
It's HIM.
Don't just receive forgiveness...
Receive LIFE
Receive RELATIONSHIP
Receive HIM
