Our Story

WordTango started as a platform to make learning English and practicing English conversation more enjoyable and productive. There are more than 1 billion English learners worldwide and too many enroll into programs and courses that are focused on the wrong aspects of language learning. We believe that learning a new language should be centered around helping the learner interact with native speakers in the most natural way.

During his trip to Asia, our founder noticed that many students were not confident in their ability to communicate and speak in English. Students were simply not gaining enough experience speaking with native speakers (Read more about his trip here). The more interaction with native speakers, the more students will be able to understand the correct and natural ways of communicating in English.

WordTango offers this solution! We connect students who are learning English with American English speakers online. Now students can practice English conversation with native speakers while chatting about fun topics!
