WordSnap Privacy Policy

WordSnap does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data with any third party.

The extension stores the following data locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

— Your recently looked-up words (last 30)

— Your saved vocabulary list (up to 100 words)

— The enabled/disabled state of the trigger

This data never leaves your device.

When you look up a word, the selected word is sent to the free, open-source Dictionary API at dictionaryapi.dev solely to retrieve its definition. No other information is transmitted. WordSnap has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no user accounts.
