It's important to keep your WordPress website up to date. This means updating the WordPress operating system and plugins as and when they become available. Keeping your website up to date ensures your site will continue to operate correct and minimise the risk of hackers exploiting outdated plugins etc.

WARNING: Before update any plugins or themes please backup your website first and download the backup to your computer! If something goes wrong during the update and we don't have a backup file it may not be possible to recover your website!

Updating WordPress and Plugins

1. Login to your website.
2. In the left-hand column click Dashboard / Updates.
3. The next page that loads in will display a list of plugin and theme updates available for your website.
4. Click the Check Again button to ensure all available updates are listed.
5. Update the plugins first. Check the plugins and click Update Plugins.
6. Apply theme updates second. Check the box and click Update Themes.
