When making significant changes to your website or changes that may need some development work it is best to put your website into maintenance mode. This provides visitors a brief message letting them know your website is having maintenance and ensures that visitors won’t see anything strange page layouts or messages while updates are applied.

To enable maintenance mode do the following.

1. Click Settings / WP Maintenance Mode.
2. Check Activated.
3. Scroll down and click Save Settings.

That’s it - done. When you have completed your work simply Deactivate and Save Settings.
