CUPP(Common User Passwords Profiler) is python based free and open source tool which generates wordlist for a specific user based on the information provided. It provides an interactive interface to build its custom password lists.
Wordlist Ubuntu Download
Below is a massive list of ubuntu words - that is, words related to ubuntu. The top 4 are: debian, linux, africa and buddhism. You can get the definition(s) of a word in the list below by tapping the question-mark icon next to it. The words at the top of the list are the ones most associated with ubuntu, and as you go down the relatedness becomes more slight. By default, the words are sorted by relevance/relatedness, but you can also get the most common ubuntu terms by using the menu below, and there's also the option to sort the words alphabetically so you can get ubuntu words starting with a particular letter. You can also filter the word list so it only shows words that are also related to another word of your choosing. So for example, you could enter "debian" and click "filter", and it'd give you words that are related to ubuntu and debian.
You can highlight the terms by the frequency with which they occur in the written English language using the menu below. The frequency data is extracted from the English Wikipedia corpus, and updated regularly. If you just care about the words' direct semantic similarity to ubuntu, then there's probably no need for this.
There are already a bunch of websites on the net that help you find synonyms for various words, but only a handful that help you find related, or even loosely associated words. So although you might see some synonyms of ubuntu in the list below, many of the words below will have other relationships with ubuntu - you could see a word with the exact opposite meaning in the word list, for example. So it's the sort of list that would be useful for helping you build a ubuntu vocabulary list, or just a general ubuntu word list for whatever purpose, but it's not necessarily going to be useful if you're looking for words that mean the same thing as ubuntu (though it still might be handy for that).
If you're looking for names related to ubuntu (e.g. business names, or pet names), this page might help you come up with ideas. A simple solution to my problem would do (filenames AND words in wordlist), I do not require tab-completion to recognize the format/details of the actual scp command. Again: I want the tab-completion to show the names of the files in the current directory AND to show the entries given in the file /.ssh_complete.
Download an up-to-date spelling dictionary and make sure it includes the ".aff" file. You can get one from wordlist.sourceforge.net. Unzip, put it wherever you want, and then go to preferences->editor in texmaker and point to where you have your ".dic" file.
Now we can start using hashcat with the rockyou wordlist to crack the MD5 hashes. The rockyou wordlist comes pre-installed with Kali. If you are not using Kali you can use another wordlist, or download it from here.
Collect as many word lists as possible. Wordlist files are plain text files containing one word per line without any extra formatting or markup. These can be lists of country names, cities, custom dictionary files, words often misspelled, or premade wordlists obtained from various sources.
A file containing the default dictionary is created. Open this file and copy and paste each word list into it. Or use something like cat wordlist1 wordlist2 wordlist3 >> copied-wordlist to
create a single word list file containing all words from all of the gathered wordlist files.
The improved wordlist already contains all default words (it was copied to home earlier), so they will be preserved by overwriting the default dictionary file. Even though /usr/share/dict/words is a soft link, the correct locale file will be updated.
The newly-created wordlist is valuable and will probably be used again, so save the wordlist file so it can be used in future Linux installations. If any major updates or corrections are made to the wordlist, always backup the wordlist.
Yesterday Openwall released an updated version of John the Ripper, a Open Source password-cracking for security auditing which supports Unix, Windows, DOS, BeOS, OpenVMS and also used and recommended combined with Aircrack-ng Suite for the creation/mangle the wordlist for dictionary or bruteforce attack using --stout.
