Serene Tan is an aspiring wordsmith with a deep appreciation for music and etymology as well as the complexities of the human condition. As an avid lover of storytelling and the multitude of ways their lessons can be conveyed and taught, Serene devours sci-fi and thriller novels, recreating their art in everyday words. She also consumes a variety of early modern philosophical texts, political works, and cognitive-related pieces. Some of the day is spent wondering about alternative history and ways to improve average life conditions. Other moments include grooving out to new tunes or completing plot-driven RPGs.

Being a fan of lifelong science-based learning, critical-thinking, and mindfulness, Serene embraces both the frailty of being human and the illogical fallacies that surface from time to time. She believes that through literature, communication, education, and travel, untruths and misguided notions can be dispelled.
