Effective date: September 27, 2026
Word Fallout ("the App") is developed by Cole Whaley ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data the App collects and how it's used.
Word Fallout has no user accounts and no sign-up. Your gameplay data (scores, stats, coins, cosmetics) is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. The App shows optional ads through Google AdMob, which is the only third party involved.
We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal information. We do not operate a server or database for the App — there is nothing for us to collect.
The App saves the following locally on your device, using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This data never leaves your device and we never see it:
Game results and statistics (scores, levels reached, words solved)
Daily challenge results and streaks
Coins earned and cosmetic items owned/equipped
App settings (sound, haptics, difficulty preference, etc.)
Deleting the App deletes this data. We have no way to recover or access it.
The App shows ads through Google AdMob, including:
Rewarded ads — optional; you choose to watch one to earn an extra life. These never play automatically.
Interstitial ads — shown occasionally between games, never during active gameplay and never in the Daily Challenge.
To show ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform (UMP) may collect and process data such as device identifiers, IP address, coarse location, and ad interaction data, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and UK), the App asks for your consent before any ad-related data processing begins, through Google's consent form. You can change your consent choice at any time from Settings → Privacy Choices in the App.
We do not control what Google or its advertising partners do with this data. For details, see:
Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses data from partner sites/apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
AdMob's data disclosure: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
The App does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and does not access or share your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) directly.
The App does not currently send data to any analytics or crash-reporting service. Gameplay events (such as when an ad is shown) are used only internally for development and are not transmitted anywhere.
Word Fallout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the App shows ads via Google AdMob, it is not intended for use by children without a parent's involvement in an app store environment that applies appropriate ad settings (e.g., a "Kids" category or parental controls). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below so we can address it — though as noted above, we have no server-side data to delete.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect any. The only data processing involved is what Google's AdMob SDK performs directly on your device, as described above.
Ad consent: change or withdraw consent anytime via Settings → Privacy Choices.
Local data: delete the App to remove all locally stored data.
Ads: you never have to watch a rewarded ad — it's always optional.
We may update this policy as the App changes (for example, if we add new features like a Remove Ads purchase or Game Center). We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
