When Nick & Ali are at camp, and David Nojaim magically appears you'll be treated to some of the most amazing campfire music, ever - an acoustic treat for the soul. Last year, as I remember the HipCampers next door were clapping and and asking for an encore. ~D.Torke
<— this song about Wood Spring by Nick Clunie
There are hiking/biking trails throughout the property. While biking recently, I discovered these two trying desperately not to be seen. (John K)
Promise: If you take the time to unplug, you will be rewarded! (johnk)
Returning to Wood Spring - my family was a member in the 60s, for an important seven-year stretch of my youth - is really amazing, a coming home of sorts. So, I was thrilled to re-up again this year, my second - or ninth, depending on how you count.
On Sunday morning, I left my site and went for a walk. The first person I met was Nick Clunie. We quickly started discussing a number of mutual concerns as we walked past the trailer nearby and out to the point on the ridge that I’ll call Hawk’s Nest, a new favorite spot that I experienced for the first time. Many of our design and decentralized ideas began to merge and were reinforced when we eventually met and talked with John Krytus.
What we have at Wood Springs is a gem, surrounded by industrial agriculture and suburban development. The three of us agreed that the decisions that we are making (and not making) today will have consequences and extensions far out into the future.
