M’akola Housing Society (MHS) and Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society (ENF) are jointly operating the non-market housing at 300 Angela Drive, Port Moody BC. Together, these organizations bring over 70 years of combined experience in housing operations and asset management, including property management, maintenance services, tenant selection, and community relationships.
ENF is one of Canada’s first women-led community housing development organizations founded in 1984 by three women, who wanted to better lives by creating affordable housing for other single mothers and their children. “Entre Nous Femmes” in translation is “Amongst us Women,” which speaks not to the individual but about “us together” in the community – a philosophy ENF still follows today. ENF currently owns and operates 409 units, housing over 1000 community members in eleven affordable housing complexes across Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Surrey.
MHS, with over 30 years of experience, manages a portfolio of over 1,600 homes across various housing complexes and single-family units. MHS is the largest provider of Off-Reserve Indigenous Housing in British Columbia. They have expertise in managing both their own properties and those under BC Housing, covering a range of rental structures and operating agreements.
