Supplies for Dance Class
Students in dance class will need the following supplies to be successful in dance class.
Water bottle (filled for each day)
Comfortable clothing to exercise in—the more form-fitting the better, such as:
Bottoms: yoga pants, leggings, longer dance shorts, sweatpants
Tops: tank tops, leotards, t-shirts
Shoes: Getting one of the following items in the color closest to your dancer’s skin color is highly recommended. If your child already has ballet shoes and/or is comfortable dancing in bare feet, then there is no need to purchase anything below.
Hair must be secured away from the face. Please send hair ties to class!
Jewelry should be taken off for class, especially if it poses a danger to the dancer or others.
Jeans, skirts, and dresses are not acceptable for movement. Students will be asked to take an observation day if they show up to class wearing this kind of attire.
Dance II students are required to obtain their own costumes for both the winter and spring concerts. Students are welcome to use costumes in the school costume closet or wear clothing that will work for the vision of their pieces as a way to avoid spending money.
