Today is the 40th anniversary of Wonder Boy! As of many ways to celebrate this huge milestone, we have a substantial website update with a variety of new content! Be sure to check the Updates section for a more in-depth log of what has been added or altered! Series creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa claims that the series renaissance is "far from over" and something new is seemingly in the works. As of July 3rd, 2025, Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World has been released by Bliss Brain for PlayStation 5, XBox Series X|S, and PC via the Microsoft Store! The price tag is $20 and is currently available on all modern platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Steam. With the 40th anniversary of the series arriving in April of next year, we believe this may be a business move to aid in reaching more audiences to acquire revenue to fund new projects. By all means, support the game and other entries such as Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection!
