Alpha A. Martinez-Suarez
Alpha A. Martinez-Suarez is a PhD Fellow in the Culture, Literacy, and Language program of the Bicultural and Bilingual Education Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Two-time Academy for Teacher Excellence Presidential Distinguished Scholar, and 2020’s Golden Feather awardee. Martinez-Suarez is the founder of the Focused Library for the Dreamers’ Center at UTSA. Her areas of research interests include social justice in education and the role of the teacher as social justice advocate for culturally and linguistically diverse populations as well as teacher education to language teacher candidates on Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSI). She holds a B.H. in International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas in México, and a MA in Bicultural and Bilingual Teaching Education, graduated with honors.
Anabell Rodriguez
Anabell Rodriguez is a Fulbrighter who graduated from Northern Illinois University with a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from Universidad de El Salvador. She is currently an academic advisor for El Salvador, Panama, and the Dominican Republic at an educational system company. For over 19 years, she has worked as a teacher, educational leader, and academic advisor in various educational settings: k-12 private schools, English academies, teacher training projects, higher education institutions, curriculum development, and private schools' academic advising. She is a passionate educator who sees her role as an opportunity to help others achieve their greatest potential. Therefore, she is always willing to expand her horizons by enriching her professional skills, seeking opportunities to share her knowledge and goals, mentoring young professionals, and creating initiatives to empower others.
Anastasia Khawaja
Dr. Anastasia Khawaja has been in education since 2004. She is a senior instructor of English at INTO University of South Florida and an adjunct professor for the humanities and English departments also at USF. She has a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Instructional Technology and a masters in Multilingual/Multicultural Education. Dr. Khawaja is the incoming chair of the TESOL International Membership Professional Council. Her current research engages with peace education and breaking the binary understanding of the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict through the exploration of language use. Dr. Khawaja has published in The Journal of Multilingualism and Multicultural Development, and has a few book chapters coming out between 2021and 2022.
Andrea Honigsfeld
Dr. Andrea Honigsfeld is Associate Dean and Director of the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership for Diverse Learning Communities at Molloy College, Rockville Centre, NY. Before entering higher education, she was an EFL teacher in Hungary (grades 5-8 and adult), an ESL teacher in New York City (grades K-3 and adult), and taught Hungarian at NYU. A Fulbright Scholar and sought-after national presenter, Andrea is the coauthor or coeditor of over 25 books on education and numerous chapters and articles related to linguistically and culturally diverse learners.

Beatriz Erazo
Beatriz Erazo is a committed, energetic, collaborative teacher trainer and passionate speaker. She holds a degree in Linguistics and Languages from Mayor de San Andres University and an MA in TESOL from the SIT Graduate Institute, World Learning. Beatriz has taught in several educational establishments in Bolivia, at Hotel Training Center in Boston, MA, and World Learning, VT, USA. Currently, she teaches English at San Pablo Bolivian Catholic University; and Applied Linguistics and Oral and Written Communication in English at Mayor de San Andres University. Bianca Lavezo has been in the ELT field for 14 years. She works for Cultura Inglesa, a non-for-profit organization in Brazil, as a headteacher and academic helper. A CELTA, Anaheim TESOL, and CPE holder, Bianca is also a Cambridge certified trainer and a CELT-P tutor. Having first studied Translation-Interpreting, she is now working towards a Pedagogy degree. Camila Höfling
Dr. Camila Höfling is Associate Professor in the English language and literatures program area in the Department of Languages at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), São Paulo state, Brazil. Her research in applied linguistics focuses on issues related to teaching and learning English as a foreign laanguage, including the role of English as a medium of instruction (EMI) and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in specific contexts, teacher education, and lexical studies.

Catherine James Njau is an English teacher in a Tanzanian government school where she facilitates different teaching training activities. She also coordinates life skill and menstrual hygiene education clubs. Currently, she is a regional coordinator of the Tanzania English Language Association, an affiliate of TESOL founder of Kuleana Organisation, and a student at the Open University of Tanzania, where she is doing her master’s in educational planning and Management in Education. Ching-Ching Lin
Ching-Ching Lin, Ed. D. is a Taiwanese native and currently a New York City-based TESOL and Bilingual Education educator. She obtained her doctoral degree in pedagogy and philosophy from Montclair State University. She is the immediate Past Chair of TESOL's Bilingual Multilingual Interest Section (2020-2021) and President-Elect of NYS TESOL (2020-2021). Her research interests mainly focus on engaging diversity as a strategic action plan for change. She has published manuscripts on a wide range of topics related to diversity and inclusion. She is a Co-Editor and a contributing author of the following two volumes: Inclusion, Diversity, and Intercultural Dialogue in Young People's Philosophical Inquiry (Brill Publishers, 2018) and Internationalization in Action: Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion in the Globalized Classroom (Peter Lang Publishing, 2020).

Claire Bradin Siskin is a consultant, teacher trainer, and practitioner of computer-assisted language learning (CALL). She has 20 years of classroom experience as an instructor of English as a second language (ESL). She was recently elected Vice President of the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO) and will serve as its president in 2023. Darshika Saxena
Darishika worked as a Teacher Mentor in Borneo and is currently teaching at the British Council in Hong Kong, where she leads an ASN (Additional Special Needs) group. She is part of the regional SEND Champion network, a gender working group, and a disability working group. Darshika has a master's in clinical psychology, and she is a member of the British Psychology Society (MBPsS). She is also a founder and trustee of a UK-registered charity in India supporting children's education and empowering young women and holding workshops and training for local teachers and parents.

Dawn Lucovich is President of The Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) and an Assistant Professor at The University of Nagano. Her research interests include assessment, discourse communities, linguistic landscapes, and leadership skill formation. Dr. Melodie Cook is a Professor at the University of Niigata Prefecture. She is the new Director of Membership for JALT. She has been teaching at the tertiary level in Japan for 25 years. Her research interests include high-stakes testing, teacher education, gender issues, multicultural families, and schooling in Japan. Debra Suarez, PhD, MBA, combines her expertise in TESOL/TEFL education and business & management leadership. Dr. Suarez currently serves on the Board of Directors for TESOL International Association, and she also currently provides leadership, strategic direction and project implementation in working groups across US federal agencies, focused on minority populations. A former university professor, Dr. Suarez, has published and presented her work around the world and continues to lecture on topics in leadership development in educational contexts. Doaa Rashed, Ph.D, is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Language Engagement Project in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University. Dr. Rashed is former president of Maryland TESOL and currently serves as the Chair of the Non-Native English-Speaking Teachers Interest Section (NNEST) in the TESOL International Organization. With over 20 years of experience in teaching English and teacher education, Dr. Rashed has published and presented in teaching methods, teacher identity, and language and social justice. Dr. Rashed is currently collaborating with Dr. Debra Suarez on projects which examine the development of women’s leadership identity and its intersection with ethnicity and language in global contexts.

Passionate supporter of empowering teams, Effie Kyrikakis, a serial edupreneur, international NLP trainer and mentor of Women Educators has just turned 30 (years in ELT). Effie is a mother of two happily married young men, who she helped flourish while juggling studies and career. Grazzia Maria Mendoza Chirinos is a US State Department Alumna recognized nationally and internationally for project development for teacher continuous professional development and growth. She has been in the TESOL field for 28 years. Her research interests include CALL, Competency Based Language Teaching and Methodological Improvements for Professional Development. She is the founder and former President of HELTA TESOL in Honduras, Former President of the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) TESOL Group and Member of TESOL International Association Board of Directors serving as Chair of the Finance Committee. At present she is an education specialist for the US Government at USAID Honduras working on projects related to education in crisis and conflict, improvement of quality of education, development of supply chain for teaching materials directly supporting the Ministry of Education at the central and decentralized levels.
Hana Khamis
Hanaa Khamis is an ESOL Practitioner and TESOL Trainer who has experimented with instructional technology since 1999. She earned an MA in TESOL from the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt in 2007. Her thesis focused on communication strategies among EFL university learners in online interactions. Her research and training interests mainly include pedagogy, technology and assessment.

Hind works as an English Instructor at the Leading National Academy LNA, Niagara College in Saudi Arabia. She is the incoming Chair of the TESOL International Professional Development Professional Council and the Executive Secretary at Africa ELTA. Jane Petring
Jane Petring has taught in, administered and written textbooks for ESL/EFL programs for over 40 years, working in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. She recently retired from her permanent position at Cegep Edouard-Montpetit in Montreal, Quebec. As a US State Department Fellow in 2018-2019, she taught Communication Skills at the College of African Wildlife Management in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. As a secondary project, she worked closely with Catherine Njau to organize and facilitate workshops and presentations of English teaching methods and activities for local teachers and to work with local primary and secondary school students as well as adults in rural areas to discuss life skills and strategies to empower girls and women and provide new values for boys and men.

Linda Chu
Linda attended graduate school at Eastern Michigan University where she received her M.A. in TESOL. She began teaching ESL to students at the University of Detroit and later taught in Korea, Japan, Spain, Singapore, and various other countries. At home Linda taught at the Center for English as a Second Language at the University of Arizona. As the Assistant Director of Global Programs, she wrote proposals and grants, and developed course content. Linda has organized teaching training programs and has trained teachers from many parts of the world. Her last assignment, as an English Language Fellow, took her to Tajikistan. Currently Linda is a member of the TESOL Career Path Development Professional Learning Network Leadership Team. She is happy to be able to contribute to the professional development of English language teachers across the globe.
Lizabeth England
In her own long TESOL career, Liz England has enjoyed success in a career in international language teacher education - teaching, research and service. Her success is, in large part, due to the generous mentors who have supported her and gained her trust. As a mentor herself, Dr. England has been fortunate to serve students, colleagues and friends both in times of need (such as those in the global pandemic) and long-term as well. Teacher, author and co-author of books, articles and book chapters, speaker and researcher, Dr. England is founder of the TESOL International Association Career Path Development Professional Learning Network (CPD PLN) where professional development programs are currently underway, including a mentoring program (CLIMB). Lorenza Aildasani has been an EFL teacher for over twenty five years. She has large experience in teaching all age groups although her main interest remains in teaching one-to-one classes to adults. Having got her degree in Letras from PUC in 2000, she carried on her training by taking Extension Courses at PUC-SP in the Education/Teaching area. Luciana C. de Oliveira
Luciana C. de Oliveira, Ph.D., is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor in the School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, USA. Her research focuses on issues related to teaching multilingual learners at the K-12 level, including the role of language in learning the content areas and teacher education. She has authored or edited 24 books and has over 200 publications in various outlets. She served as President (2018-2019) of TESOL International Association and was a member of the Board of Directors (2013-2016). She was the first Latina to ever serve as President of TESOL.

Dr. Maureen Manning is an international presenter, trainer, and keynote speaker on global education, TESOL, intercultural competence, and study abroad programs. Dr. Manning has worked as an adjunct professor, teacher trainer, and professional development facilitator in the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe, promoting best practices in language acquisition and in strengthening intercultural competencies. Dr. Patrícia de Oliveira Lucas is Associate Professor in the English language and literatures program area in the Department of Foreign Languages at Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), Piauí state, Brazil. Rana Khan holds a master’s degree in English Literature and Business Administration besides a teacher’s certificate in CELTA and IELTS TTT (Train the Trainer) from British Council. She has extensive teaching experience besides active industrial experience at various management positions. She has taught at various higher education institutions in Kuwait like Kuwait University, Arab Open University, and the American University of Kuwait. Rana has served as secretary, conference chair, and proposals chair in the local affiliate, TESOL Kuwait. Additionally, she has also served on the Conferences Professional Council, TESOL International Association as chair (2021). She has presented at various conferences and has several papers to her credit. Her main research interests are learning management systems, CALL, and blended learning. Dr. Revathi Viswanathan is a former Professor & Head of the English department at B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology. She is currently working as a freelance ELT Consultant and a Teacher Trainer. She has 26 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level. As a teacher trainer for nearly two decades, she has been training both school and college teachers to develop communication skills among their students. She has over fifteen years of professional experience, spanning five countries, in international program development, management, sales, marketing, accreditation, language instruction, program assessment, and curriculum design. Mrs. Radovich received her MA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies and her BA from the University of Colorado. She has worked as an adjunct faculty member at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and was the Academic Director at Language Consultants International in Denver, Director at the Cotemar International Development Center in Mexico, and Director of ELS Language Center at the University of Wyoming. Sharon Tjaden-Glass
Sharon Tjaden-Glass is an instructional media designer for the eLearning Division of Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. She previously taught ESL in higher education and in intensive English programs for 13 years. She served as the newsletter for the Intercultural Communication Interest Section for TESOL International and now serves as the ICIS community manager. She currently organizes a monthly networking session via Zoom that connects TESOL professionals who are seeking to enter the field of instructional design. Shirlaine Castellino
Shirlaine Castellino (director, Spring International Language Center) has a B.S. in General Science and an M.A. in Teaching English (academic courses) from Silliman University in the Philippines. She holds an additional MATESL degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to four years of teaching at Silliman University, Shirlaine was a Composition Coordinator and Teaching Associate at the Intensive English Institute, University of Illinois for three years. After moving to Colorado, Shirlaine worked as the ESL and Day-Treatment Coordinator at the Asian Pacific Center. For the past 31 years, she has been working at Spring International Language Center in Littleton, Colorado.
Sophia “Stella” Escalante
Sophia “Stella” Escalante (they/them pronouns) is a current graduate student with the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of South Florida. Their main interest is doing policy-related research on the intersection of disability and human sexuality, and the discrepancies that occur with the education of sexuality to disabled individuals. A disabled person themself, they work closely with other disability activists to bring light to the injustices disabled people face, as well as introducing able-bodied people to societal inaccessibility that they may not experience themselves.

Teri Rose Dominica Roh
Teri Rose Dominica Roh is Assistant Professor at Inha University in Incheon, Korea. Her primary duties include teaching general and elective language skills courses to undergraduate students. She was born and raised in the Philippines, where she also first developed an awareness of gender-based issues while attending a single-sex college. She holds an MA from the University of the Philippines and a Ph.D. from Sogang University. Teri has been based in Korea for the past 11 years. Her teaching career has evolved around a range of class types, including private tutorials, immersive English camps, language learning centers, high school English subjects, and in-service teacher training. Current research interests include topics on language attitudes, child-directed discourse, and the professional identity of English teachers abroad. Apart from teaching and research, she also facilitates weekly virtual meetings for a group of Filipina teachers in Korea.

Yanal is 42 years old, married, and with three children. She is a housewife and an English Educator, too. She has been a teacher for about 15 years, so she has a lot of experience. She used to deal with different ages, levels, grades, and cultures. For example, She taught elementary, intermediate, and even higher graders. Yasmeen Coaxum, Adjunct Faculty at the English Language Institute of Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus and the American Language Program at Columbia University, holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and Language Acquisition from the University of Barcelona. She has taught ELLs in national and international contexts for more than 12 years, specializing in English for Academic Purposes and Business English at language schools, universities, and corporations in, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Spain, and the U.S. Ms. Coaxum is a frequent presenter at conferences, including Columbia’s ALP Winter Conference, the NYS TESOL Applied Linguistics Winter Conference and the JALT CALL Conference, and she currently serves on the Executive Board of NYS TESOL, as VP Conference-Elect. Her research interests include CALL, MALL, vocabulary acquisition, and pedagogical grammar. Most recently, she has focused her research on leveraging instructional technology to increase student motivation and accelerate English language proficiency.
Zaira Arvelo Alicea
Dr. Zaira R. Arvelo Alicea is a writer, editor, and educator focused on nonnative English speakers in the continental United States and Puerto Rico. She has authored 15+ publications on the connection between social skills and literacy, engaging Latino communities, Latino and Caribbean literature, and Puerto Rico after Hurricane María. In addition, Zaira is a speaker on equitable education for English learners, approaches for delivering quality education to nonnative English speakers, and designs virtual programs and training on pedagogy, writing, and communication for higher education, industry, nonprofits, and K-12 educators. She was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, a mountainous town in the countryside of the archipelago with an established tradition of anti-colonial insurgency.
