Women’s Day Celebration
Nazareth Convent School joyfully celebrated Women’s Day on 6th March with a special programme organised by the teachers and students of the Primary Section. The celebration revolved around the inspiring theme “Aaj Ki Naari,” highlighting the strength, courage, and evolving role of women in today’s society.
The programme began with a short prayer service seeking God’s blessings and introducing the theme of the celebration. This reflective start set the tone for the event by emphasizing the dignity, resilience, and achievements of women.
The gathering was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Tanvi Desai, an Ayurvedic doctor, who was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the school community.
Dr. Desai conducted an informative and engaging session for the mothers and grandmothers present, focusing on breast cancer awareness. She spoke about the importance of early detection and encouraged women to prioritize their health and well-being.
One of the highlights of the programme was a thought-provoking skit performed by the students. Through their performance, the students beautifully depicted how women have grown stronger and more confident over time while also reminding the audience that society still needs to transform its mind set to achieve true equality.
The celebration continued with melodious songs and lively dance performances by the students, which added vibrancy and joy to the occasion.
The Principal, Sr. Elizabeth Jaya Rani, addressed the gathering and shared inspiring words, appreciating the efforts of the organisers and emphasizing the importance of empowering women in every sphere of life.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks. The event ended on a cheerful note with a fun-filled Musical Chairs game organised for the mothers and grandmothers, bringing smiles, laughter, and a wonderful spirit of togetherness.
The celebration was truly meaningful and inspiring, honouring the strength, resilience, and spirit of “Aaj Ki Naari.”
