Transport information
It is possible to reach the university campus from the city center by foot in roughly 30 minutes, or alternatively by bus in about 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on the bus (only cash), at many bus stations (including Hauptbahnhof=main station), as well as online at shop.padersprinter.de (credit card payment). The latter option is unfortunately somewhat complicated because it requires a lengthy registration, however, it features a 20% discount on single one-way tickets.
Another possibility is to use the "Deutsche Bahn" app on smartphones to book such tickets or even to look for bus connections. There are three lines going to the university campus from Paderborn train station (Hauptbahnhof) through the city center:
line 1 (direction "Kaukenberg"),
line 4 (direction "Dahl"),
line 6 (direction "Schöne Aussicht"),
line 100 (direction "Universität")
Bus stop "Uni-Südring" can be reached from downtown (stops: Hauptbahnhof, Rosentor, Westerntor, Rathausplatz, Kamp) by line 1, 4 and 100.
Bus stop "Schöne Aussicht" can be reached from downtown (Hauptbahnhof, Neuhauser Tor, Detmolder Tor, Am Bogen).

Meals
The university restaurant (Mensa, denoted by ME on the campus map) is located near the main university entrance. It offers a varied selection of meals, including vegetarian and vegan options. You can use a credit card as a payment method. The opening hours are 11:15 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11:15 .a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Friday.
There is also a small café in the same building with coffee, drinks, baked rolls, and some other snacks.
As an alternative, the shopping mall "Südring Center" (5-10 minutes walk) offers various snack and fast food options.
Internet access
We provide two networks for WIFI access: Eduroam and Webauth.
Childcare
Childcare will be available for participants with children. Please inform us in advance if you wish to make use of this service.
