Regular Women in Vision Lunch: The Women in Vision Group Siegen is organizing a monthly lunch inviting female computer scientists across all stages of their academic carreer - Bachelor and Master Students, PhDs, PostDocs, and Professors! The goal of the event is an informal exchange. In particular, it can be used for younger students/academics to ask any kind of questions about study programs, becoming a PhD, spending time abroad, or carreer-related questions in industry or academia! January 15th, 2026 is the registration deadline for the sixth “Women in Optimization” workshop. It takes place at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal from March 25th -
27th, 2026. The workshop is aimed at female young scientists, female doctoral
students and female mathematics students with a focus on optimization. The goal of the workshop combines professional training and networking within the optimization community. The workshop language is German! The Women in Vision Group Siegen can support female students to attend. October 14, 2024, The Optica Women Scholars Programme call opens: This US$10,000 scholarship is available to women who are pursuing undergraduate and master's degrees in STEM fields like physics, chemistry, engineering, and others, focusing on optics and photonics. In addition to the financial support, recipients will be paired with a mentor, will gain access to Optica's global network of individuals and companies, including the generous donors listed below, and will have the opportunity to attend the Optica Women Scholars Conference.
