Women and Conservation History of Garrett Park, Maryland

Welcome to our online exhibit celebrating the many women who have contributed to conservation in the Town of Garrett Park, Maryland 

In 2006, longtime Garrett Park resident Laetitia Yeandle worked with the Garrett Park Conservation Trust to donate her property to the Town of Garrett Park through a conservation easement. Her hope was to limit future development and protect the natural beauty of her property by creating a public park and nature preserve. This online exhibit not only celebrates Laetitia's generous gift but also the contributions of many other women, past and present, in support of conservation in the Town of Garrett Park.
