Hákon (Derived from - Hár: High/Noble. Konr: Son. Hakon - High Son, or Noble Son) was born in a battle camp, in the heart of England, at the edge of the Norse territory of Danelaw. His mother and father fought together under their chieftain, dared the sea's to travel to England to raid and settle. While raiding, Hákon's mother gave birth to her son not long after a raid she did not fight in but was close to. She named her son Hákon, for she believed he would one day become a truly strong warrior.
He was raised to be strong and responsible, to give his life to his kin and clan. He took to the axe from a young age, his parents taught him how to survive in the harsh world. Beyond training, he found joy in aiding others, helping his mother manage the household and helping his father run errands. From them, he learned much.
His father died when he was a young man, and his mother was injured in the same raid. It was the first battle Hákon himself fought in. He took on more work to make up for his mothers injury, went from trade to trade, not really picking up one for himself to master. But his mother decided to sail back to Denmark. Yet Hákon did not wish to leave, not when there were so many opportunities in England. So, he bid his mother farewell, while he remained. With his fathers axe and armour, he explored.
Hákon wandered for a while, taking work as a warrior where he could. Gaining some experience across the lands of Danelaw, and took part in skirmishes along the border of Mercia. Fighting Saxons was well and good, collecting all they had to sell off was even better. He even kept a trophy or two from his victories, and knowledge from his defeats.
He wandered along the country, until he found the Wolfguard. He met Edda, who introduced him to the Chieftain, Axel. Hákon was welcomed into the Wolfguard, provided he had something to offer. He devoted himself to the clan and offered his axe as a warrior of the clan. All while seeking to find his own trade to benefit the clan that took him in.
