If you want a helmet-mounted communication system for swimming, choose WNJACO Motorcycle Helmet; if you need open-ear earbuds with a longer stated total battery life, choose EGWAT ETSANDYS Q16s. For actual swimming, though, neither spec sheet confirms that the product is designed for submersion: both list IPX6 water resistance, not a swimming-specific capability.
WNJACO Motorcycle Helmet vs EGWAT ETSANDYS Q16s at a Glance
• WNJACO’s biggest strength: Helmet-focused speakers, voice control, dual-phone connectivity and up to 32 hours of music playback. Trade-off: It is designed for helmet use, not identified as a swimming headset.
• EGWAT’s biggest strength: Open-ear earbuds with Bluetooth 5.4, translation features and up to 80 hours of total battery life with the case. Trade-off: Its listed charge time is 1.5 hours, and its specs do not establish suitability for swimming.
• For a helmet setup: WNJACO is the more directly relevant option, with 10 mm speakers and a clip-based installation approach.
• For translation and case-based charging: EGWAT brings features WNJACO does not list, including translation in 144 languages and an LCD charging case.
• Who should pick WNJACO: Riders looking for a headset designed around helmet communication and extended playback.
• Who should pick EGWAT: People who want open-ear earbuds for everyday listening, calls and translation, rather than a helmet-mounted system.
WNJACO is the more focused choice for someone shopping for motorcycle helmet audio. It uses 10 mm-thick speakers, includes a microphone with dual noise-cancellation features, and offers a clip-based mounting approach. The product information also describes an alternate installation method using adhesive-backed Velcro. Those details make it easier to see its intended role: audio and communication built into a helmet setup, rather than general-purpose earbuds.

The battery figures are a strong point on paper. WNJACO lists up to 32 hours of music playback, 30 hours of talk time and a 20-minute full charge. It also supports Bluetooth 5.3, connecting two smartphones at once, voice-assistant access and automatic answering. Those features may suit a rider who wants to hear navigation, take calls or listen to music without handling a phone. Its IPX6 rating is relevant for exposure to rain, but it does not make this a confirmed bluetooth headset for swimming.
I would choose WNJACO for helmet-based use, especially if fast charging and long stated playback matter. I would skip it if I wanted ordinary earbuds for walking, gym sessions or swimming. Its helmet installation and riding-oriented controls are the product’s defining features, while the available details do not describe it as a swim-ready audio device.
EGWAT takes a different approach: it is an open-ear earbud system with a charging case, rather than speakers presented as a helmet headset. It uses Bluetooth 5.4 and has touch controls. Its feature list also includes real-time translation for 144 languages and dialects, with modes for music, calls and translation. That gives it a broader everyday-use profile for commuting, work or travel, though the translation feature is not a reason to assume it is suitable for use in water.
Battery life is the headline specification. EGWAT lists up to 15 hours per charge and up to 80 hours total with the case, which has an LCD display for monitoring battery levels. The earbuds are open-ear and rated IPX6. That rating indicates a water-resistance claim, but the product information does not say they are intended for swimming or submersion. The listed charging time is 1.5 hours for the earbuds and case.
I’d consider EGWAT for someone who wants open-ear listening, a case that displays battery information, and translation features in one set. It is not the pick I’d make for motorcycle-helmet installation, because the listed design is an open-ear earbud with a charging case rather than a helmet mounting system. And if your main goal is the best earbuds for swimming, neither model provides enough swimming-specific information to make that a confident recommendation.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best stated total battery life with a case → EGWAT. It lists up to 80 hours total, compared with WNJACO’s 32 hours of music playback.
• Best for a short charging window → WNJACO. Its listed full charge time is 20 minutes; EGWAT lists 1.5 hours.
• Best for connecting two smartphones → WNJACO. The product information specifically says it can connect two phones at once.
• Best for real-time translation → EGWAT. It lists translation in 144 languages and dialects, a feature not listed for WNJACO.
• Best for checking battery on the case → EGWAT. Its charging case has an LCD display, while WNJACO lists battery display on a connected phone.
• Best for swim-specific use → Neither, based on these details. Both are rated IPX6, but neither spec sheet identifies the product as designed for swimming or submersion.
• Best match for open-ear earbuds → EGWAT. Its design is described as open-ear, while WNJACO’s open-ear placement refers to its helmet speaker setup.
The different Bluetooth versions—5.3 for WNJACO and 5.4 for EGWAT—are useful identifiers, but I would not choose between these products on that difference alone. Their more practical distinctions are fit, mounting, battery setup and intended use. WNJACO is tied to a helmet; EGWAT is a standalone earbud-and-case system.
That distinction matters if you began this search looking for a voice assistant open ear headphones for swimming. WNJACO includes voice-assistant access, and EGWAT has an open-ear form, but those separate features do not establish that either product is suitable for swimming. For use around water, the listed IPX6 ratings are not a substitute for explicit guidance about swimming or submersion.
In my opinion, I’d choose WNJACO if my actual need were audio and communication in a motorcycle helmet: its mounting design, 20-minute charge and 32-hour playback figure make a coherent riding-focused package.
I’d choose EGWAT instead for open-ear listening, translation and a charging case with an LCD display. For swimming, I would choose neither based on these specifications; neither is identified as a swimming-specific product.
FAQ
The product is listed as IPX6 waterproof, but its design and features are centered on motorcycle-helmet use. The provided details do not say it is designed for swimming or submersion, so I would not treat the rating alone as confirmation of swim suitability.
