Welcome to Transportation Electrification and Applied Mechatronics Lab (TEAMS) at Western Michigan University (WMU), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department. TEAMS lab is specialized in solving challenging problems in the broad areas of transportation electrification and mechatronic systems. Our mission is to gain a deeper understanding of the application specific electromechanical energy conversion systems, fault diagnosis of electric machines and drives, develop pragmatic solutions for challenging problems, and provide an engaging research experience for graduate/undergraduate researchers. We are open to research collaborations with industry, national laboratories and universities. Graduate Student Positions Available for 2026: I have multiple funded MS or PhD positions in Power Electronics, High Frequency Magnetics and Controls open with a start date as soon as January. Candidates with a strong background along with hands-on experience in the above areas are encouraged to apply. A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above is required.
