A learning style is the way your brain likes to take in and understand new information. Everyone learns a little differently—and that’s totally okay!
Some people learn best by seeing things (like pictures or charts), others by hearing (like listening to a teacher or podcast), and some by doing (like hands-on activities or moving around). Some students even like a mix of all three!
Knowing your learning style can help you study smarter and find what works best for you—not just what works for someone else.
1. 🎯 Set a Goal Before You Start
Ask yourself: What do I want to finish or understand today? Having a small goal helps you stay focused and feel accomplished.
2. ⏰ Use a Timer (Pomodoro Style! See photo below)
Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. After 4 rounds, take a longer break (15–20 minutes). This keeps your brain fresh and focused.
3. 🧠 Study a Little Each Day
Don’t wait until the night before a test. Review your notes for 10–15 minutes daily—it really adds up.
4. ✍️ Use Your Own Words
Rewrite notes or explain what you learned to someone else. If you can teach it, you understand it!
5. 📓 Keep It Organized
Use one folder or notebook per subject. Color-code your materials to find things faster.
6. 🔊 Say It Out Loud
Reading out loud or recording yourself can help with memorization.
7. 🎨 Make It Visual
Use charts, diagrams, and flashcards.
8. 📵 Limit Distractions
Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb.”
9. 🙋♀️ Ask for Help
Talk to a teacher, classmate, or tutor when you feel stuck. Asking questions is a smart move—not a weakness!
10. 😌 Take Care of You
Get enough sleep, drink water, and take brain breaks. Your brain works best when your body feels good too!
