To promote an informed electorate through political education;
To increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through political participation;
To work for the election of the Republican Party's nominees.
History
Article of Membership
Any woman who has reached her 18th and believing in the principles of the Republican Party including family values, of good moral character and has never been arrested, or vocally or monetarily supported a Democratic candidate while an officer in a Republican organization within the last (5) years is eligible for membership.
A "member" pays dues to her club, a portion of which is sent to State and National Federations. A person can only be a member of one club.
Republican women who have primary membership in a Federated local club are eligible for associate membership in local clubs upon payment of required annual dues. Associate members cannot cannot hold office, vote, or be counted for the purpose of determining the number of delegates to the national or state federation meeting or conventions.
Republican men or juniors under the age of 18 are eligible for associate membership upon payment of the required annual dues to the local club, They cannot hold office, have a voice or vote to be counted for the purpose of determining the number of delegates to national or state meeting or conventions. These members do not have voting rights.
This organization shall be a member of the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women.
