About Us

Walker Mill Middle School PTSA

WMMS PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school. WMMS PTSA is a non-profit organization established to support the students, their families and the teachers and staff of our school. Your membership gives PTSA a stronger voice and provides valuable support of our school and activities.

A common misconception about the PTSA is that all we do is organize fundraisers and school events. While fundraising is an important and integral part of the PTSA, we do much more! The funds raised by the PTSA help support many programs within the school or is given directly back to the teachers to use on materials and experiences for their classrooms. PTSA members also volunteer their time to help run programs and events. You don't have to like or be good at fundraising to participate in the PTSA. By being a member of and attending PTSA meetings you provide a voice as to how the funds that are raised should be spent within our school.
