At Amazon, I am an economist for the Prime Video - Video Content Research team.
Prior to Amazon, I was a Senior Researcher for the Health Care Cost Institute (HCCI). I researched how local market factors, such as health care provider market structure, can impact the cost and type of care patients receive. At HCCI, I oversaw the Healthy Marketplace Index project and lead work to support a variety of other HCCI research priorities. My work has been published in outlets including Health Affairs, Health Services Research, Medical Care Research and Review and cited by CBS Evening News, The Economist, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post among others.
I received my PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Washington and Lee University.
Outside of work, am an avid Boston sports fan. In my spare time, I enjoy making homemade pizza from scratch and am an amateur violinist.
