I believe there are certain content areas that every school should have to give students the opportunity to explore different industries and discover new passions. The agricultural industry is incredibly diverse and no one is an expert in all areas. Just because I am not an "expert" in a specific content area, does not mean that a student should not have an opportunity to pursue a course in that topic area. Below is my model program with the content areas that would be covered in every course for a general program. However, Ag Education Programs help serve and connect the community, this could change in different regions.
•Local Agriculture
•International Agriculture
• Production
•Management
•Soil Science
•Soil Management
•Sustainability
•Ecological Management
•Wildlife
•Forestry
•Fisheries
•Ecosystems Management
•Greenhouse Management
•Agronomy
•Floral Design
•Landscaping
•Reproduction
•Digestion
•Genetics
•Species and Breeds
•Small Gas Engines
•Welding
•Woodworking
Every student registered in an Agricultural Education Course would be required to have their own SAE Project.
